20% lightning damage will do exactly the same thing as 20% spell damage for this build.

Projectile damage, lightning damage %, spell damage, and elemental damage % are all added in the same equation (20% spell damage = 20% lightning damage = 20% elemental damage = 20% projectile damage)

Crit with spells works on spark totems.

My current DPS is 2350

edit: But it scales pretty quickly. I started mapping with 250 spark DPS, I worked it up to 850-900DPS before converting to crit, and eventually worked my way to 2350 after converting to crit.

Hey guys,

I've been following this build very closely and just wanted to see what you all thought of my gear at the moment and if possible give me some advice on where to head next. I'm currently lvl 78 and i've started picking up crit dmg/chance nodes. My next purchase is very likely to be a windscream boots and a quality faster casting shortly followed by a wand with %crit stats. I'm about 40% over cap on all resists without running purity so I have a lot of flexability in what pieces to upgrade. From memory (currently wasting time at work and not in game) my dps is around 700 (not including curse effects) with those items equipped however I usually swap out my amulet for a rare I found with 59% rarity :)

How do you figure in the DPS added by lightning penetration when you get your 5L. I was sitting around 300 dps listed on my totem with 4L and it didnt change by adding lighting penetration support tonight when i finally fused my 5L armor. But i figured right now my curses reduce lighting resist by 91% and lightning penetration gem makes the spark totem penetrate another 27% light res so i know almost every mob my totem hits,if cursed, is most likely negative light resist.

How much does this increase the listed dps of the spark totem?

@cleverist don't you suffer from stuns and freezes?

I do but I'm on softcore and primarily play in a group of 2-3 people so it isn't a big deal.

Your current gear says you use a spectre but the exile pro build says to use summon skeletons. Which one should we use? I assume the zombies are a given, so in the end we would have both zombies + either spectre or skeletons?
