I'm about the same ES as you, but my chest sucks majorly so atm I can't really afford to lose the ES on my boots (which are also shite but I needed ES and I got them from a guy for pretty cheap.) |

" Hmm, cheers :) your dps is similar to mine. I'll keep an eye out for those boots and once I up my ES a bit (if I can double my chest ES I'd be sorted) then I'll make that switch. I've been using dual curses a short while and although it's nice I'm not convinced it's worth spending 10 or so passive points on. Voltarix: 3x bear trap is so that you can spam 9 in a row. if you only have one you can only spam 3 before they need to recharge. |

what are the buff nodes for? is it for the quicksilver flasks?

So what's some important stats on weapons to improve DPS ? I bought a spell damage wand but the DPS stayed put.

Sorry for the lack of posts the last few days. Wall of text time.
@Aereic - 90 Assumes high-end gear (or default making survivability less important). Crit requires a large transition to make effective, so it isn't something to do until gear becomes very high end, and less survivability is needed from the passives. It's best to stack damage until this shift becomes viable. @O4epegb - 10700 ES @CyANt1FiC - Those 4 nodes are easily the most important ES nodes in the tree. The final node gives a 20% bonus to all of your ES, which makes it the single strongest ES buff in the game. Ideally you should add it immediately, even if it means sacrificing damage, but I imagine you've already gained the 4 levels needed to add it. @wangs51111 - It's not something to be taken lightly. You shouldn't be transitioning from the 70 tree to the 90 tree. You should be adding damage nodes until you can do a full scale transition into crit. @Deathripi - It's based on the gem level, though it gains 22% from the totem life node before ancestral bond. @william2433 - a 5-link amounts to 20-100% more damage, depending on the lightning resist/curse immunity of a target. @Skizzy - With 40% crit chance, static blows became obsolete, since crits also cause shock to be applies. The 45% duration was still useful, but I decided that extra damage would be more useful at all times, and would cause similar @SauceH - I may need to rephrase that with as effectively as the build turned out, but it does require a very large effort to reach that point. It doesn't achieve that level of clearing speed until very high level with spectacular gear. Builds like lightning arrow/EK will have better clearing speeds initially, though this build has a potential that is arguably higher than either. @Skizzy - It's still very valuable for the 40% shock duration. It's worth using until damage becomes exceptionally high - high enough that extra damage isn't likely to cause targets to be shocked that otherwise wouldn't be. @Rutger - I think double curse is vital, though it doesn't need to be acquired from the passives. the double curse acquired from Deodre's Damning or windscream is acceptable. @BChizzzle - Are you using level 1 spark perhaps? 4.4 DPS means something is going horrible wrong, lol. @Arkius - I've plotted it out, but it suffers from 2 deficiencies: The mana cost is phenomenally high (300-500) and the reduced cast speed on totems coupled with the slow base cast speed of EK makes it very hard to kill targets that use fast ranged attacks. Skeletal mages will kill the totem far quicker than the totem can attack. @BChizzzle - The damage at 20 is more than 100x higher than the damage at level 1, lol. @Unimatrix - I don't mind discussing the pros and cons of EK totems, though obviously someone looking for advice on using an EK build would be better off in a different thread. @Kurantar - follow the 70 build, do the templar side first. @Supergreatness - I'm glad that you like it. Your stats are perfectly fine for beginning maps, just be cautious. The damage on the totems will rise quickly as you level in maps, since most of the points can be used for damage, and gear should improve significantly while mapping. I'll update the thread tonight with added map info. I believe I have a rundown of maps in my exilepro post if you want to view it in the meantime. @Arkius - Yes, clarity should be leveled to 20. If additionally mana nodes become necessary temporarily, it's best to add them to facilitate the process. @Skizzy - The only 2 maps that I can't solo are blood magic and a combination of noregen+Elemental reflect. In the latter case, the totems kill themselves too quickly, and don't sustain mana flasks fully. @william2433 - Spark, Faster casting, and elemental weakness give the greatest returns. @vcheung817smurf1 - While the lack of stun immunity is annoying, the added damage from my current amulet is enough that I will do without Chayula's. ES is currently at 10700. @Nemosushi - Spell damage and faster casting are both big. I would shoot for something like 60 total spell damage and 15 cast speed to start with. IGN: Dominion / Clamor
