Is the non-crit ver(2) damage sufficient late game(70+ maps)? Anyone tested it?

Really wanted to make a lightning build and ball lightning looks fun, I'm sure with Cloak its bulky, but want to know if clear speed is decent :)

you forgot the Arctic Armour Gem-Links? :)

Passive tree: Is 5% Buff Effects really that strong?
I have calculated the effectiveness:
Worth.. about 1.2 level speaking of Arctic armour + without add. mana drain
..about 1 level speaking of Clarity + no extra mana reservation IF %Buff is multiplicative with Mana Reg%
..and about 2 levels speaking of Purity of Ice - however no extra Maxres (at least very low).


Auras: Is Discipline really that good with this build? Since it's a huge Mana reservation, I'd guess we actually lose more mana than we gain!?, and Damage is split by 40% to Mana!
If you wish I could calculate how much mana Discipline gives and how much we lose from the Reservation.

You are actually right for Discipline too, I just tested it. 2600 mana unreserved without it, 1600 with it. Ofc, the mana regen drops from 480 to 400, but that isn't a problem at all.

I'm really lost and can't decide what to do with my build now. I really want to focus on DPS and I don't really mind dying every so often.

I duo with an aura-bot MF culler.

I'm currently level 52 running low life pain attunement with dual redbeaks and wondertrap. I am very, very squishy, though and obviously it needs to change soon. I have life leech in my Tabula and that makes it so I never run out of life to cast BM Ball Lightning.

Anyway, I have this gear that I can switch to if I need to:



I would like to stick with Tabula and just be a little squishier than try to 5L/6L and go for the tankier Cloak of Defiance build.

Do you have any recommendations for me and what I can do with the build? Also, what is your BL's DPS in Rampage with the first gear?

I'm sorry to have to say this, but you cannot expect to do a decent build with a tabula :) your chest is one of the most important items you can get, and a chest with no defenses means you'll die to the extent that you won't be able to progress any more after lvl70-75 imo. In that regard, I would strongly recommend switching to the EB MoM build, since you already have the key item for that build. If you do continue with the tabula, you will only end up being disappointed in the build, while it will actually be your gear that is the problem, not the build.

As for DPS, the tooltip DPS isn't and cannot be accurate for BL, simply because there are too many things that can vary. I think a dev also stated that somewhere else. That said, my Rampage CI crit tooltip dps is somewhere around 5.5k, which comes to a lot more with 6 power charges up. And that's in a 5-link, so...

Out of curiosity if both your CI-Crit and EBMoM non-crit had similar gear, what would the DPS be like?

I'm almost at 2,000 right now at level 53 with 10 passive points remaining... I want a shav's so bad =(

Have you tried a Vaal Pact build instead of Ghost Reaver?

I've decided to just level with my duo partner until about 75 and then just switch to my main CoC guy instead, so I'm just going to go completely suicidal build and then retire the character early =p

I just need to find the best way to live elemental reflect. If I go pure life with a little bit of ES and no Life Leech outside of a little on my wand will I live through reflect? I won't have the Calm passive point but I will have the flask going and purity of lightning.

If you run purity, pop a flask and have at least 1% life leech, you can live through relfect. If you have flask nodes and 2% leech, you can do reflect maps with no problem if you bring more topaz flasks.

Vaal pact is too far away and would be a waste.

You can't compare, cause if CI-crit had mana and life gear, it would be a useless build, i.e. a build with completely wrong gear; vice-versa, if the EB MoM build had ES and crit gear, he would be squishy and lack mana :) I can tell you only that both have very nice clear speed. Crit does a bit more dmg with the right gear though (as he should).
