Account-bound items vs enhanced loot drops: where is your point of indifference?

If every player was given a toggleable (on/off) choice in the new leagues about whether they wanted to find exclusively account-bound items in exchange for enhanced permanent-allocation loot drops, where would your point of indifference be between increased loot and account-bound (ie untradeable) items?

For example, your point of indifference might be:

+ 100%IIQ/300%IIR in exchange for only finding account-bound items.

Curious what people would need for this trade-off?

P.

PS: The main reason I started this thread is that I'd like to make a unique (and convince GGG to consider allowing it) which gives a boost to drop rates, but with the downside that any drops are account bound. The idea would be for it to be a unique ring, but with its stats completely rollable to anything (like a rare) - so it would not be constrained to the use for a small number of builds. My problem is that I don't know where to pitch the enhanced drop rates, hence the thread.

Would every drop be account-bound, even currency?

If yes, it is way too chaotic (~AB chaos orbs does not stack with normal chaos orbs)
If no, it is only going to feed any RMT currency bots.

So in both cases, no - this is not the way to go
From the other thread:

I don't think that's a very good question since most people don't have much of an idea what 300 IIR actually does. Hell I don't have much of an idea.

Besides IIR and IIQ, if everything is to be account-bound (i.e. self found league) then the values of orbs (especially Exalted Orbs and Divine Orbs) won't nearly have the same value as they do now in the open market.
Yes every drop would be account bound - including orbs.

Ignore the practicalities, I'm a little less interested whether or not you think it's the "way to go" or not (but this is the world wide information super highway, so express all you like), what I'm most interested in is what is your price for going account-bound. Or should I assume even at 10000% IIQ/IIR you would rather not be account-bound (which is a price)?

I see, for me - let us say +500% IIR / +0% IIQ is the threshold where I would be tempted to "try it out"

EDIT : in the first post I added a zero more than I wanted. 5 times the "normal" rarity is what I had on mind.

Just to note, I love the concept of trading so I would most probably just quit using this feature after first significant drop

My answer (and most people's answer) would be some sort of gut-feeling estimate.

I think in general the quantity of GEAR drops in this game is fine. So IIQ is pretty much a non-factor for me.

IIR on the other hand would be much more important. As of now the game drops barely enough to keep most players going. I usually find that after level 65 it takes at least 5-6 hours of gameplay to find an upgrade to one's gear.

If everything were to be account bound then I'd go for something close to 400% IIR AND a specific increase on the drop rate of ALL orbs, as well as making the currently rarer orbs much more common.

For instance, in a 100% account-bound situation, a Mirror would be worth around the same as a Chaos in most scenarios, maybe even less. Exalts really aren't that good either.

So to sum up:
400% IIR
0% IIQ
Increase of orb drop rates, especially a sharp increase in the currently rare orbs such as Mirrors and Exalts

I would never choose the option account bound. If I want that, I would go play D3, which I occasionally do.

So 100% NO to this option for POE.

That has absolutely nothing to do with the thread.

Please try elaborate why my answer has nothing to do with this thread...
