ReverendBizzarre: ele cleave templar [6k life, 45k+ dps]

Anyone interested in this?

Spoiler
The greatest weakness to this build is de-sync. All of my deaths were due to desyncs. I'm swinging air and getting hit from nowhere

Increased AoE greatly helps with this. It doesn't completely eliminate the problem of course, but with 67% increased AoE it is very rare that I find myself straight up not hitting anything in front of me.

I agree, I was having lots of problems using concentrated effect... switched to increased AOE and never looked back. I have 6000 DPS with increased AOE instead of 10 000 with concentrated effect, yet I believe my effective DPS is higher with increased AOE mainly due to amount of enemies hit.

Effective dps in groups of course, boss and rare DPS is lower.

I have a good tip to avoid desync and missing stuff with conc effect, place it on the left click of your mouse and just target things with it, dont press shift and swing it because its hard to eyeball where cleave will hit. By just traget the enemeis with it you will always hit them.

Probably a good tip, although a hard habit to break. My main is a LA ranger so holding shift and attacking is in my blood. Hahaha.
My wrist isn't compatible with spam left clicking anymore. Did plenty of that in my D2 days but can't tolerate it for more than an hour now.

/getting old

That said, I have cleave bound to "D" on my keyboard, which isn't quite the same as shift-left clicking. True if you hit it you will cleave rather than move, but if you hit it while you have a monster highlighted, you will attack that monster, not attack the spot your computer thinks it is standing.

Increased AoE is still super freaking nice though.

not that click intensive , you just really only have to hold it down on the target until stuff dies.

I dunno why i never really found AoE to be as effective, might be my playsstile though, i like to move around with WB and cocn effect, kill stuff fast on the move, rather than cleave in a spot and wait for it to die

Even just the amount of left clicking I do to move kind of hurts my wrist, so yeah, better to spread the clicky-load out to the other hand on the keyboard.

"Kill stuff fast" goes better with inc aoe than with conc effect, at least when you're talking about trash mobs. Killing the whole pack at once is for the win. Bosses obviously die faster with conc effect.
What do you guys think of this build using dual strike with melee splash?

Edit: and maybe multistrike?

Edit2: nvm melee splash gimps dmg so much lol
