[INV #1 SHADOW] EXALTON'S BLOODSEEKER GUIDE

Hi, i was looking for a Shadow build, and in the same time (an other class probably) a CI build, your build combine both, so i've started a Shadow CI Bloodseeker yesterday.
Currently lvl 40, lot of dps (1500 with Hatred alone) since i use Mortem Morsu and a Mightflay (i'll probably go for 2 Mortem Morsu), already 1000 life points, strong start actually.

I already have a Bloodseeker and a Soul taker, that's one of the resaon i choosed this build, so i plan to switch to dual wielding as soon as i get a good AR/ES Chest , and i'll probably switch from dual Mortem Morsu to Bloodseeker/Good ES Shield until that kind chest(the one you've is just amazing).

About the build, what do you suggest for the 2nd act bandits quest ?
18% physical or 8% attack speed or even the point ?
It seems you'r going (now) for the 18% physical, seems the wisest option as you can't get that from the tree for 1 point.

And as there's 2 remaining points (117pts build + 1 lost to help a bandit) what's the best to grab :
- Sentinel (2points away) 24% Armor & Evasion and a free 10% all elemental resist
- Blinding speed (12% attack speed)
- 8% more ES and a 10% increased ES cooldown (or 20% ES Cooldown)
- Going to Soul Racker to get 3% AS, 18% phys dmg and 4% more life leech

At this point what's the biggest flaw of your build ?

It seems you'r really fine in matter of resist and armor, so probably more dps ?

One of your video "the bosses before Atziri" let me see that your ES cooldown isn't that good, you still have to wait a while/bit before it replenish by itself, guess can be a problem (but i don't know what was your stats at this point.

I'm really far from the end of the build, but better to plan now than spending lot of regret later (especially for the Bandit quest).

Thanks a lot for your build, i really enjoy it !!

Yeah I've already picked up the 18% phys which added about 1k dps. As far as leveling past 98 is concerned it doesn't really matter. I will probably pick up more dps or some ES nodes.

The build doesn't really have any flaws. The ability to run any combination of map mods is really awesome. Most of the map mods have no effect at all. The biggest flaws lies within melee itself I guess. Due to being melee you can never achieve the clear speed of some ranged builds - but on the other hand no other builds can reach the balanced survivability that this build has.

Note: I don't rely on ES recharge at all.

Don't you think you would want to skip those starting points and just get dervish?

How can you even ask that.... If the node was 1-3 nodes away your question would make more sense. But now....

It's 3 nodes away...
I've theorycrafted a duelist variation of this which focused on damage (cutting the flask area) and it's outright terrible. The shadow start is clearly best if dual wielding.
I'll save Exalton the time and explain why. Basically US is needed to not be perma stunlocked by any little damage that hits you since we don't have much life (the amount of life pre-CI effect is the basis for the calculation) regardless of what melee skill we use - even cyclone. Since we pretty much have to take this stone, we are required in turn to skip dervish, basically wasting points on shit nodes that could be going into ES. This, in turn, invalidates the quality of the initial start. The shadow start is outright better, only doing slightly worse for DPS and stacking far more effective defense and also being more flexible.
Hey there, really appreciate the time you took posting this build and explaining things in the video. The only thing I'm a bit stumped on is what kind of gear to go after. I'm still kind of a noob, and I know you obviously go after ES, but what other stats are you aiming for? Do you have any advice on what to do gear wise if Alphas/Soul taker arent really in your budget yet? I'm currently level 60 and I'm making the transition respeccing to your build from a ranged one (I was tired of desync and dying in one shot to anything that got past evasion). I have bloodseeker awaiting me in the stash :). I apologize if these are dumb questions, I look at it like a learning expierence lol. I only really have around 5 ex to throw around at the moment. Thank you again for your time!

You can skip the shadow start and go for the duelist start instead. If either one of them is good the other one can't be terrible, cause they are very similar.

Here you have my recommended Duelist build:

http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgUAmy0XHVeXYEER1b6n7-NjcDSTtkFOKluvKaXdDSzpFSAqTessrEcZhspKb57DOoMJm7VGcRmKtAzhiPsJkyfquh2q9toc3DyOGo9_xqKjwcURlsHzLL_sGHC7bRmGro_6w23ZE0V-O-EV19vnL28OXOL314ZHBhB0pytWY8LsX2qLerTFKwrBANsaEHv1S746V8ko-uvuuJOnCAx9EH_Gno9GHRT60hcvhtEksICkZOdV1maecU2az0NjtzFY9Z3EwBpZ86yqcql82fcy6hj46xRxDjyfy0Kjdgidrhps8900CjdmLKam6zeD

It has more block, about the same ES, but less damage and armor.

I have respecced multiple times when I needed a skill point instead. For leveling I'd prefer the skill point!

Just look at the items that I am using, you'll see that they have a lot in common. This is also explained in the video.
