[INV #1 SHADOW] EXALTON'S BLOODSEEKER GUIDE
How much ES should you have before respeccing to CI?
And how many respec points do you need? |
|
" I think that you have completely missed the point ... Read the Creator's guide in depth before starting a build. First of all this build rely on 3 things, Ghost Reaver, Bloodseeker and CI. Ghost reaver and Bloodseeker get you a instant ES replenishing when you'r dealing damage, CI allow you to be Chaos immune and have more ES than non CI builds. Currently you don't use any claw, it means you don't leech, so you don't replenish your ES (as you'r running Ghost reaver) ... So you die quickly. Furthermore you should not respect to CI before having at least 2K ES and/or all resist capped & a good Ev or Armor amount and obviously being lvl 62 (to be able to wear Bloodseeker). Change your weapons (you can use 2 claws rather than a knife and a useless/low dps Hammer, or at least one Claw in main hand and an other good dps weapon in off hand). As i've stated before i got my mid-level claw for 1c each (around 150dps each). Try at least to get a 4L, anyway if you don't have 5L, 4L can be fine enough. And having 5L on this kind of stuff isn't helpfull as you'll have to change for a better quickly, so basicly you'r wasting fusing orbs here. Your boots are nice but too low level, not enough ES for a CI build, same problem for the gloves, hood isn't even ES. Currently you've 2 options : - trying to go back and respec to "non CI" (will cost a lot of regret and twice as you'll have to respec to Ci again at lvl 62). - or continuing in this way, change your stuff, try to at least get 2k es and all resist capped, a good claw (or 2, as you'll not wear Bloodseeker you won't instant replenish your ES) and if possible claws with +x% leech life not +xx life per attack (like mine). If you continue, respect at least the +10int after the big ES circle (between Scion and Witch) and take the 12% More ES at the CI's path end (More is really better than Increase) Alteration are tradeable for jewelers and jewelers for fusing (at all Act 2 or 3 npc vendors). " You can go with 0 ES before respec to CI (lvl 62 isthe best to go CI, as you'll be able to wear Bloodseeker, the key item for this build). I used something like 5 regrets (and the full respec that i got from quests). It depend mainly of your current skill tree state, check what do you have to remove (life node mainly) and you'll know how much you'll need. But before going to CI, try at least to have a good AR/ES armor chest ready (and a 4L at least), at around 200 ES it's fine (if you'r playing carefully), more is bviously better, but don't spend too much on a midlevel EVorAR/ES chest as you'll probably have to change again later. Here 's the chest i used before the Carcass Jack (so before lvl 62). And the one before was That's just some basic EV/life and resist (don't really need resist before Merciless) chests. Carcass jack is really good (even 4L) as you get EV/ES and a bonus to damage / increased radius of area skill (Melee splash is a AoE skill). Last edited by Abnegatus#6394 on May 18, 2014, 6:00:26 PM

" Regardless of the build I just wanted to say: Don't try to 5 link a shitty chest, you will waste all your currency for nothing. Expect to sink a few hundred fusings to 5 link and that's if it's 6 socketed (which yours isn't, blasphemy) so you never ever do that on a 1 c chest... I respecced to CI a bit early at 1500 ES at lvl 48, it's been a bit tough but playing non-hc for once so can get by, one of the mechanics to abuse at that level is cast on stun, link it with two enfeeble and decoy totem or something like that.. | |
" I switched to CI at level 54 when I was about to face cruel Dominus. I bought a few items worth 1-2 chaos each, and managed to get ~3000 ES using a shield and double strike. Facerolled my way through merciless and when I got level 62, I threw away the shield and started using Dual strike with Bloodseeker and another claw. |

Do you think your build is viable in Invasion with Vaal Pact and without Bloodseeker ? If no, why do you necessarily need Bloodseeker ? I don't really like losing so much damage through the Bloodseeker.

recently started a new char with ur build in ambush. leveling was not that easy since i didnt want to waste too many points in life knots.
what do u think of the new unique chest incandescent heart? Is the -25% elemental dmg taken mod good enough to consider to use this chest? or is it better to search a good arm/es chest in terms of getting a higher es pool? currently playing with 6 aura + alpha. guess i will have around 5.5k es once i am at ~85. ____ definitely a nice build, fun to play |

" Sure it's viable, but not as good. You will not be able to get much more damage through vaal pact. You will on the other hand lose a lot of leech, and the 6 nodes you spend will have to be taken from good defensive nodes. If you want insane damage you won't be able to get the defenses that makes my build immortal. Still if you wanted to get more damage I'd probably go crit and still use Bloodseeker+Crit claw over Vaal pact. The 6 nodes that you can invest in crit nodes makes up for Bloodseekers bad dps and crit chance IMO, since you get insane leech if you'd use dual claw Bloodseeker. |
|
" Incandescent Heart is useless since I already have 99-100% resistances to all elements whenever needed. Doesn't matter if it removes 25% damage - compared to going from 98-99 resistances which means 50% less damage taken. |

" thx for ur answer. until i get to values near to ur resistances, is it worth using incandescent as 5L? for lvl 90+ ur recommendation would be a eva/es or arm/es chest with high rolls, ofc with 6l then, wouldnt it? incandescent could be also worth thinking of for using different flask maybe? or do u consider it as useless? |
