First off, great build & Guide Exalton, thank you!

I have one question though: Do you have any kind of trick/advice for dealing with being
perma-chilled by all cold damage mobs if you do not have an auxium?

Obviously a flask of heat works ... for 1 second only to be immediately chilled again. I was wondering if there was a better solution that I had not though of?

Calculation:
60% for hatred x 0.71 red. mana = 42.6 ~ 42 (as you round down).
Then 42 x 0.54 = 22.68 ~ 23 (as you here round up). To explain the 0.54, its just 1-0.46 from the notes. You don't multipli with 0.46 (!)

So something is missing and you don't use the Alpha's Howl to cast hatred.

Alpha Howl's reserve reduction is a global mod, it reduces ALL reservation by 8%, even if the gem isn't in it.

until i get to values near to ur resistances, is it worth using incandescent as 5L? for lvl 90+ ur recommendation would be a eva/es or arm/es chest with high rolls, ofc with 6l then, wouldnt it?

incandescent could be also worth thinking of for using different flask maybe? or do u consider it as useless?

I'd strongly advice against using a eva/es chest. Getting the required gem colors on a 6L eva/es is very hard and can become expensive quick...

I switched to CI at level 54 when I was about to face cruel Dominus. I bought a few items worth 1-2 chaos each, and managed to get ~3000 ES using a shield and double strike. Facerolled my way through merciless and when I got level 62, I threw away the shield and started using Dual strike with Bloodseeker and another claw.

3000 ES with or without discipline? What auras were you running then?
The reason I ask is because I am currently lvl 54 with dual strike in Act 2 merciless and didn't switch to CI yet. I suppose I should make the switch soon, but I need to get some ES gear first. Right now I am at 1.5k life and 3k dps.

Hey Exalton,

first off, thanks for this guide. I switched to this build exactly level 62 and admittely I've had a rough start. My gear simply wasn't good enough. But spending a bit of currency I was able to buy gear to finish all the questing for SkillPoints and managed to get started with maps.

I feel that the strength of this build is the insane scaling power. Each gem level, each character level, it's all notices so much.

I'm currently at ~9k DPS with Frenzy charges up. Running Grace, Hatred, Discipline and PoElements.



I have to use Wurms Molt because otherwise I won't be able to sustain the attacks. Would have Auxium available on my bank though. Probably searching an amulet / ring for manaleech would be the best thing to do?

What do you think about the 1H-Damage-Cluster "Seasoned Sinew"? It's 44% Physical 1 hand damage for 3 points. Currently I'm thinking of going there with the next three levels.



The most hardest part of this build will probably be finding a good ES-Chest with the RRRG(RG)

Anyhow, basically just wanted to say thanks. I've been enjoying this build a lot as the damage (at least right now) isn't the most insane one i've seen but the survivability is awesome and it's just fun. Kinda slow but very enjoyable!

I've also been enjoying this build for quite a while, currently 73 and I have to say it's really rough without any good gear. I had some currency that helped support costs of Chayula, Rainbowstride, Alpha's, Bloodseeker and some average gear... it really doesn't leave space for a good 5l/6l Ar|Es chest and some Es gloves.

Currently stuck with ~4k Es (with discipline) and 3k dmg with hatred (lacking links for melee-phys and phys when full life, IR has helped pay gear costs). Gems are only ~17/18. With a good chest my stats will skyrocket to more than double.


In sum the efficiency of the build comes from the gear, just a shame that MF isn't optimal =).
