[1.1.5] Kenzorz Crit Glacial Cascade Witch (updated for 1.3.0)

I'm trying to do a GC build now and I'm finding it difficult to get really good dps at later levels.

I'm using 6 power charges and have GC+LL+added chaos+knockback+added cold

The added cold is because I can't get my 5l to RRBBB.

I generate power charges from lvl 1 CWDT+PCOC+ice spear+ice spear, which works really well when running solo, but not so effective in party.

The char is on invasion, btw.

Using Power Charge on Crit in your main ability is BAD. DO NOT do this. The ONLY builds that should be doing this are bow builds and maybe dagger builds. Any caster build that uses power charges simply needs to run a GMP'd Ice Spear with PCoC in it to build and maintain their power charges.




My plan on this build is to run a cloak of defiance to get a buffed MoM for overall survivability but mostly for reflect safety, and also running a Bereks Grip for a lil bit of extra leech and even more buffer on my mana.

My items still miss one good ring with resist and then i can change shield.

I don't use power charges because:
The DPS increase by putting PCoC on my main skill with 7 charges would be roughly close to the DPS increase with any other support like Added Lightning or Faster Casting so that would basically be spending a lot of points on power charges for a DPS increase that I can get without power charges anyway.

If I were to put PCoC on a different skill to build up charges then while that is a good way to keep my tooltip DPS a big juicy number, that DPS isn't exactly accurate seeing as I need to spend time building/keeping up charges. Also I find that kind of playstyle pretty clunky and dislike it anyway.

I am heavily against people using knockback with this skill, but somehow I forgot to write about it in my guide. Knockback is a noobtrap for this skill, you do not need to obsess over it when the skill already pretty much guarantees at least 2 hits and scales very well with other stats like crit and cast speed.

and my guide specifically states against Added Cold Damage, you'll get more DPS from any other support. Even Cold Penetration would be a better.

Now i collecting regret 2 back 2 my old tree, finally for me playing with power charges is veyr bad idea ;)

Thinking about using ice spear with GMP and PCoC so I can free up a slot on my 5l chest

I built something very similar using Voll's and power charges to buff crit, but after seeing your version I respec'd my 9 passives from power charges into other stuff just to try it. Your version works every bit as well as mine does, and probably has a higher ceiling since you can use carcass jack for your chest.

A different passive tree is what I'm thinking about for when I reroll for the next ladder. The idea would be to use Carcass Jack, double Divinarius and Atziri's Step along with acrobatics/phase acro to be even tankier with more range and dodge (since that seems to be my biggest problem at the moment).

This is the passive tree I'm thinking about for level 85 (up to 90 I'd take the shadow start nodes, and if I got past 90 I'd crap myself):

Good build but you might wanna take note that Acrobatics halves your ES meaning you'll have less mana than you should have with EB.

How would you alter this for Invasion? Having such Critical Multiplier seems like a bad idea in HC.

you deal a really good dps and you dont have problems with reflect or lightning thorns.
this build is not beginner friendly because is expensive.
you can freeze the full screen with your cold snap.
