It's official, devs are satisfied with the overall state of the game
The hardcore attitude of traders/gamblers is the thing that makes me lose every single trace of hope in PoE.

One thing is that we have to respect whatever GGG themselves want, it is after all their product and the best we can do is provide feedback that they may react to as they please.
Another thing is to misunderstand the choices in poe thinking they are of an universal quality of the ideal level. Let me put it simply, the choices are too limiting to make PoE the giant in gaming culture it could be - simply because the experience is not appealing enough for a variaty of reasons i have mentioned too many times. That isn't an opinion, it's an understanding of reality you will arrive at if you have enough clarity. Nevertheless, GGG has chosen and i will at least enjoy what good there is in this game which is quite a lot. I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all. " There's nothing hardcore about this game really. First toon and am face-rolling low level maps @ lvl 75 on a 4L. The real problem is one quoted a long long time ago. I found it from 1-2 years ago and I just started few days ago. THERE IS NOTHING TO DO END GAME (EXCEPT IF YOU'RE UBER RICH IG). I am here bored as shit cause I am forced to pay (in-game that is) in order to have some decent content to do (no lvl 66-69+ maps are not decent content anymore). Basically we're forced to play crappy no challenge areas which in turn hinder our leveling since we got shitty exp. After that people call the game "hardcore". You must be fucking kidding me. It's designed to be good early so people feel happy and invest money, "believing in GGG", then you reach the so-called end-game and you realize the game is just a massively over-hyped Korean hamster wheel with nothing to do. TLDR: POE = Korean Hamster Wheel with 0 end-game. Devs can't be bothered to provide FREE access to HL content = Massive fun limitation. F2P = The usual. Awesome early --> players "invest" money --> End-game? Who cares, the money is in the bank. For a company that boast great earnings it sure is ridiculous, especially that the game ahs been out for a long time now. My buddy told me so... He was right... |

" didn't say it was supposed to be, now did I ? I said finding gear necessary to get _through_ merciless was difficult. and through means through, not just to the docks. " i agree. my toon _absolutely_ could not have made it on 3 links, and there's no reason to, that's one of the few things you can "craft". of course you can do it. and it's really a headache. i've done it. it's a pain. but i also did it when I didn't know the game as well. based on what i just went through in ambush, i wouldn't have had as hard of a time. my friend stayed self-found longer than i. he died, a lot. so I do contradict myself a little. playing self-found is not as bad as it was, because i'm a better player. but do i want to run piety with self-found gear or start mapping ? absolutely not. could I ? yes i could - and it would be miserable and I would not be having fun. it's important that everyonce in awhile everybody admits this is a game and it's supposed to be _fun_. and forget running MF gear, so then how do i get good _enough_ drops ? i don't. and i wouldn't. path of trading. " yes, finding "mid level" gear on xyz is a problem. however i was surprised that needing such gear was less important, i.e. i could get by with some pretty weak gear. i'm still using 2 blues right now ! so i guess when you play this game enough you do get better at it. " well- my friend and i were completely self found at cruel dominus and we made it through. it was ugly as hell, i died at least 5 times, even though i was jumping back through portals all the time, but we made it. and it's ridiculously out of balance. we cruised through sceptre of god without a problem. and then got our butts kicked by Dom even though we know all his tricks. I really hate that encounter. |

" you should only lose hope if that's the attitude of the devs too. alas, it does seem to be. |

"The problem with GGG is that they advertise the game to be for Hardcore players, 10% of the gamers but in fact they keep balancing the game around 10% of the players, not the gamers in the end the game is made for 10% of 10%... which is why alot of people are unpleased and the game is on a decline of quality ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it

" PoE could easily be a better game than D3 ever is. It's not like a game can only be total crap or total awesome - PoE is something in between. And D3 too by the way. i use a secret account because i am a politician that doesnt want the NSA to know i play poe.

" While I agree that desync is a problem (I don't remember getting this much desync in d3 for example), adopting the moba style client-server synchronization would just make things worse. You must be incredibly slow or have very low ping if you don't notice any input lag on a moba game. I used to play a lot of SC2 and LoL and there is a noticeable delay when issuing commands (with 80 ping). It's not something you notice immediately, but if you try playing online and then playing on LAN, you will notice a significant difference. This would just make PoE clunky and frustrating.
