Mine is very similar to yours without the proj damage and more life regen/mana regen. I want to focus more on surviving so I can kill atziri just like in last leagues and I only used a 5L bow this time should be no problem getting a 6L so that will raise my damage significantly.
Yeah, life regen is definately nice for Atziri. However with the new life flasks and amount of recovery from them, I'm not sure that as much is needed.
I am not sure either it will take a bit of testing to really know but I think our trees are not far off from being optimized and I think they will perform similarly to the old build. Though I am a little concerned with clarity taking more mana hope it isn't too significant.

Here is what it is looking like right now.
131% Trap Damage
79% Chaos Damage
71% Damage Over Time

If I did some changes to get the Sniper nodes, Id drop the Golem's Blood cluster to go up and get the Sniper nodes, the Life/Mana clusters. Putting my damage increases over 300%
That's a level 100 build with the same damage as the level 90 build, same mana, less life, less armor, less elemental resists, and not enough strength (need 75 more on gear for Reduced Mana). Not meaning to bash but a more efficient tree has already been posted. The flask nodes above Blast Radius don't seem to be worth getting anymore, as we already have 80% life recovery from flasks and 20% recovery speed. Blood Siphon and Soul Siphon are superior to Cruel Preparation and Deep Thoughts, as the latter don't offer strength, have less life, and don't have sniper sitting directly next to them. Golem's Blood should be dropped in favor of the Scion life wheel and potentially Shaper if you need more mana regen or strength.
I like the Flask Nodes for our Ele Flasks, Granite, and Quicksilver Flasks, since we dont have a movement ability.
I dont see how you can say that your tree is THAT far better than mine. At all.

It's not THAT much better but in terms of survivability and with options to improve for 10 more lvls it is a little more efficient

But there is going to be no way to test what is more "efficient" until we actually get to test it. As much theory crafting as we want to do, until we get into the later levels, we wont know. THAT is when discussions can be raised more about what is what.

Yes but as far as numbers go there is no denying your build has less life % and mana regen. Which will suit you just fine if you play rampage and don't plan on doing atziri and just want to cruise through maps.

Why do you assume that I want to do Atziri? And no, I will be playing on Beyond.

This is from the patch notes: The Trap and Mine support gems now have multiplicative damage bonuses that are specific to traps and mines respectively. This means that you can’t cast a skill through a trap and a mine for double bonuses.
How does that affect this build?

He's either trolling at this point or is really excited about building a character with his own tree that he doesn't want advice on but posts anyways. Oh well.

We don't use mines so it doesn't affect the build at all.

It says "Trap and Mine Support gems. We use the Trap Support gem.

But you have to use BOTH mine AND trap on the same skill for this to be relevant ("double bonus").
See page 30 it was already explained.
