[TEMPEST] RaizQT's Poison trapper [lvl97+ top 20] BUILD OF THE WEEK + ATZIRI KILL!

Nice catch. I've only just started making my own passive trees.

Good to know Im fairly close to being competent. :D

RaizQT, should I go for life or ES build for 1.2 passive tree, and what are the differences between these 2 in your build?

thanks in advanced :D

Projectile Damage: Passive nodes and gems (such as Slower Projectiles) that increase projectile damage will increase both the damage on hit and the area of effect damage.

Should I be getting Projectile Damage passive nodes?
I looked through the trees people posted here and I think I created something better. My tree has a bit more life than the other builds with same damage nodes. Compared to pre-1.2, this one is impossible to get as much effective life on, and there is less life and mana regeneration. Pre-patch, I have 6700 life at level 91, post patch I think it will be closer to 6000. To compensate, there are much better life flasks in this patch as well as 60% increased life from flasks on tree, which the build relies on. There is much more increased mana, which should increases mana regen to compensate for the lack of it on tree. If projectile damage works increasing cloud damage through the trap, then my build is next to three nodes that give 36% increased projectile damage as well.

Level 91 tree:

I have mostly spent time optimizing the builds I plan on playing this coming league, but when I threw this tree together, I saw other trees didn't seem as efficient, so figured I would post. Would be nice to get this working even better!
You need Clever Construction man.

I cant see the build posted by theDeliveryMan, 0/120 points spent..

Anyway, the suggestions in this thread are really nice, but one thing I don't understand.
Everyone starts from the Witch now, I tried to figure something out from the Scion.

The stats compared to the left, my trap damage is higher than other builds, am I missing a key element here?

Mine lacks a bit of HP tho, but.. Is the the Scionstart a no-go or what? What am I missing, and better, is this gonna work? I love the build as posted in the startpost by raiz, I really want to play something similar.

Nice build I over all, maximizing the use of flasks. One possible downside might be that you have no aura nodes, but it is hard to say until we know exactly how auras will be nerfed in the patch.

I specced in and out of Clever Construction on my way to 91, and it very rarely came into effect, so little that I ended up removing the point. However, if you have your mind set on it, you can change things around a bit.

I'm using the offline skill tree planner, it makes it much easier to find nodes, plan, and save builds. Make sure you get the planner for 1.2.

About Scion, the starting nodes just aren't as efficient as what you can get elsewhere in the tree. You can do this build just fine for a Scion, it will just take a few more points. Many of the nodes in your tree aren't as strong as others you could be taking. You get most of the damage nodes with 120 points, but still miss out on Blast Radius and a lot of life. I would recommend using less points on the tree to get a more realistic idea of a build.

Also, some nodes on that tree are a waste. If you need strength get a +30 node, not Path of the Warrior (you do no phys damage, only +20 strength). The mana on kill node in the near MoM is wasted for later game, as you will have plenty of mana regen. High Explosives and the trap duration nodes are also wastes. Hope this helps some.

The only 2 auras that this build runs is Grace and Clarity. The reduced aura reservation nodes just aren't worth it point-wise. Not every build needs aura nodes, this one is better without them!
But if you pick the reduced mana reserved then you might be able to run: Clarity, Grace and Discipline thus you might be able to run higher level AA.

With the old tree, I ran a level 20 AA easily with no aura nodes. This tree has 60% less mana regen but a lot more %mana, to the point where I think the sustain will be just as good if not better. Discipline = more mana reserved = less effective life from MoM. No reason to run it. Aura nodes would not accomplish anything.
