Our first week of Open Beta

Thanks for an amazing game!
Old school hardcore RPG fan like me feels like home here :)

One thing bothers me though: Please do not touch the loot system, don't casualize it.
If something, make it full FFA without the timers. But even with the timers it's ok.

Thanks again, proud to support you guys.
I Don't really see why people have this compulsion to clutter their screen with damage numbers.

hit C, click the skill, and see the damage it does works well for me. Granted that being said, i'd love to see the damage numbers for my minions....in the character sheet that is.
So nice.
Server issues aside (it's nice to hear that you chaps are on top of them and trying to quash them in good order) I've been having fun with this game, and look forward to seeing what else is up the proverbial sleeves. Now, on to some specific points:

"
Path of Exile completely exceeded our expectations in terms of popularity and community reception. Even despite the peak-time server stability issues we're seeing amazing player concurrency, retention and engagement...

Congratulations. If metrics like that aren't proof that G3 is on to something, I don't know what is.

There are many more cosmetic effects coming to the microtransaction store in the near future...

While rightly prioritized below the squashing of bugs, this is something I don't mind putting some dead presidents into. In fact, a few suggestions come to mind:

*Ebony Legion skins (basically puts your character in appropriate EL uniform - mage for witches and rangers; soldier for the others. This mod 'attaches' to torso armor and visually 'overwrites' the character's armor, including shield, but does not affect weapon models; does not interfere with weapon auras, halos, etc.)
*'Three Dragons' skins (as above, but these are more specific: a Gravicius skin for templars, Piety for witches, and duelists get the currently-unknown third character (reference).
*'QCF+A' - alternate casting animation for Fireball and Ice Spear, immediately recognizable by most gamers (amsuingly, it's also one of many taunts in Saints Row: The Third). Not sure how this could coexist with, for instance, the alternate Fireball projectile model.
*seifuku - alternate witch apparel purely for the humor value. Especially hilarious when used with the QCF+A animation above for obvious reasons...
*full-body auras - like the weapon auras, but cover the character (but not his or her weapons or shields). Not compatible with the skins mentioned above.

Also, I suspect a lot of folks here also own 360s and/or PS3s. Both of these systems have user avatars, which presents to me another way to get people curious about the game. You have the distinctive outfits of characters and certain NPCs, of course, and miniature forms of certain creatures (most notably, in my view, the Ribbons) would be amusing pets.

And speaking of Ribbons: I imagine properly coding an AI free-for-all is difficult. Encountering them working in concert with Ebony Legion personnel is odd...

Spoiler
...but is apparently justified due to the fact that the EL has apparently seized control of some of them via means involving a certain item for whose return the Gemling Queen is quite greatful.

epic game is epic :D
grats on the success, I've been trying to fill the hole that D3 left after the success D2 was and this is it for sure. It's almost surreal I didn't think it was possible for anyone to come up with a more ARPG, especially when Blizz couldn't even do it with their own game and all their resources.
Yes I would have to agree with almost all that have played this game, what at GREAT game it is. Love every aspect of the game as far as customization and playability this game has to offer. The biggest drawback has to be the constant crashes as they are occurring every 8-11 min I suppose at peak times 2-8pm est which is quite annoying but good for xp. Sucks though when your in cruel looking for a wp spent 10 min clearing an area and server crashes on you. But what the hey, I love the game and will play thru this. Keep up the great work guys, looking forward to the future of the gam
Great game. Great job. Great people. GGG

I wish u at least two times more users in one month :)

Who cares about certain server stability issues, it is still beta. Even in beta its one of the best games ever.

I smell new diablo2:lod in here ;) Immortal game of unbeatable quality.
Everyone has already said it but this has been a great experience so far. Many great features and changes from the typical ARPG setting these days and all from a small indie studio! Your team possesses a great amount of talent and I applaud you for creating such a fantastic, fun, and engaging experience for us all.

Keep up the hard work!
Can't wait for the next major patch!
