no.
You do not understand correctly. Nobody wants leveled to 100 in Top Gear for two weeks.
Wants to be able to receive this mountain not only through trade, such as the same craft.

Now this is not possible without the use of trade.

Way to stereotype buddy. Good job. Put everyone in a box.

I should just turn that argument around on you. Anyone who isn't interested in a self found league just loves easy trading and RMT.

Its fun to stereotype isn't it?

I am one who thinks there is no right or wrong drop rate. Everyone is different. Some want GG in two week some after 2 years who am I to judge?

Thats why options are good. Everyone can find solace in multiple leagues no? GGG is already setup to offer multiple leagues. Thus I dont get issue.

Haters like to pigeon hole ppl in fact D3 pigeon holes ppl too as their is only 1 play mode, well 2 if you count HC. GGG doesnt have to have that problem.

If i were president of GGG i'd make so many option

like

accelerated crafting league. Where you could make a full kit in a season on finds.

sf same drops as now.

SF accelerated drops

and on and on to see what works (and brings in dollars) not be stubborn curmudgeons because at end of day customer is always right.

I'd enjoy a self-found league quite a bit. A "thumbs up" to this idea from me.
Now that prestige classes will finally leave lab in 4.0, will GGG get it right this time or will they find new ways to repeat old mistakes?

What you, and everyone else seems to forget, is no matter how high the drop rate is, you always "get insane gear quick(er)" by trading. So please do not talk about BiS. Traders aim for - and talk about BiS. A self found player knows he woun't get BiS for about two years.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

i bought 10 exalts once. and thats it. the amount they are worth and the ratio at which they are found are completely off. i blame RMt for that anyway, but the amount of time i spend playing POE is compeletly disproportionate to the time needed to find as many exalts i desired. the market is so screwed.

i generally play self found unless theres a unique or rare i see in trade chat worth buying, then i will use my self found chaos which i usually have about 10-12 of stashed (playing 2-6 hours a day).i rarely actually apply chaos orbs. but, i did have at least 2 really good rolls.

exalted orbs are just like wtf. ive found 3 exalts in 2 years of playing Path of exile.
and that just doesnt cut it when you get to level 75 and need good gear to survive.
this game is just a slot machine lol. but a fun one at that
OP updated with latest results. Needless to say, the % split between responses has been stable for a long time now.
Should I keep this poll open or do you folks think I should close it now and accept the stats for what they are (with strong feelings on either side a given)?

P.
Maybe keep it open until the new leagues start, then close it and open a new one for the new league, seeing if the changes have much of an effect on the results?
No. Calm down. Learn to enjoy losing.

Good call, that would be quite interesting. It's not free, but I don't mind funding another one, although I do worry that people might have vote fatigue if they already voted in the preceding one. I'll try and remember to do so.
