" Im not completely sure, i never really tried berek's grip + freeze talents. With this low freeze chance I would expect it to be quite irrelevant. However I would say it is possible to change the setup of the build here and there to increase the freeze chance and make this more viable. That would be very interesting, however I'm currently not playing POE anymore, so you would have to think about this yourself ^_^ Isnobest. What do you think of the two new builds using either dual cybils, or Light Coil with high max Light resist (Saffel, Purity of Light and +4 from passives)? Do you think you might incorporate either of them?

What do you think about the 1.2 shock change being proposed in the diamond newsletter (Shock can only stack one time and gives 50% more damage.)? Will it severely change the passive tree for this build to be more skewed for damage and less cast speed?

I'm curious to see what Izno thinks. I only changed his build with my character to make it more defensive and then, when spell echo was intro'd, exchanged faster casting for that. A few other minor changes to due to circumstance.

" Sorry for my late response, I was away for a bit. IMO saffell's frame is highly inferior to rathpith's globe. For the very obvious reasons. Also using Dual cybil's might increase your damage even further but also lower your survivability even further. You gain more block chance, but you dont even have a shield to block with. I understand lifesteal goes up, but being unable to block spells is a big big big downside. Lightning coil is something that is always good, I would never say to anyone not to use it. If you can get a 5L or 6L light coil: go for it. But this build is really meant as a cheap build which can clear up to 78 maps without problems and very very very fast. Light coil is certainly good, but would also increase the cost to play this build " hmm as I currently dont really play anymore, I also don't really follow the scene, and the updates. I haven't heard/read about this yet. My initial thought is that my build would become useless. However, when thinking longer about it: I doubt I stack 3x shock stacks on mobs anyway. If I always get 1x shock on mobs, this would actually benefit my build (as with 1 shock stack the increased damage would go from 30% --> 50). Its really hard to say because I do not know if i shock-stack mobs 1x, 2x or 3x The only thing I would think about changing is not using: Q-added lightning damage as support gem, and switching it for added chaos (as you might not need as much shock chance anymore) Isnobest. Hey izno, will be trying to build this for 4 month HC. I don't think the Shock nerf will be that bad, it might actually be better for Bosses. Doesn't hurt to swap out this cheap unique helm and remove a couple of shock chance passives even if things don't work out well.
Just checked out the new passive tree at Witch's remade tree, shield block nodes are better, shock nodes are beside EB. Shadow's revamp (more projectile speed!) Things will be very different this coming league :) |

Thanks anyhow izno. Was thinking about Faster Casting or Added Chaos instead of added lightning depending on how much spell damage I could work from the tree.

for the 1.2 i choose to improve the block chance.
build like that i will be able to run Grace/discipline/clarity and maintain artic armor. with +39% chance to block, a simple ratpith globe offer 69% chance to block. it is not max-block but with Frace i hope to avoid lots of hit. arctic armor will help to survive the hits we dont block or avoid. we loose 5% chance to shock (15% now) and 40% more damage for shocked enemies (50% now for 90% before). it's very bad! but remove the helmet and the passif points in order to put them in pure fire damage will not be better.
