I have a question about the level of the gems linked. Are these the levels we want to shoot for or will we be leveling them all up to level 20? Like the Immortal Call, Enduring Cry, Enfeeble, Cast when damage taken link are all below lvl 8 on gems. Increased duration, Vaal Summon Skeletons, and Vaal Grace link are 18's/19. Then the incinerate and other cast when damage taken is lvl 1. This is my first Exile on PoE and I am trying to follow this guide as close as possible.

You want to keep Cast when damage taken on a low level to activate it more often. Therefore the connected gems have to meet the low level requirements.
All other gems can and should be leveled up to max (Exception might be Flicker Strike/Whirling Blades because of keeping mana costs low. They are only needed for movement. I still maxed them, because mana is no issue for me). Last edited by recsiem#7093 on Jan 16, 2015, 8:16:41 AM

" I have kept x y z gems at x y z level due to the mechanics of the gem properties. You will need to read what the 'gems' do to understand why I do this ( Have a good read of Cast on damage taken gem ). Its either that or you can just copy mine exactly. I wouldn't advise copying to a tee due to the fact that every players experience is different but def use it as a guide line. |
