You can get quite a bit of accuracy on the passive tree i don't see the need to use a
whole slot for the gem but if it is working its working

generally speaking I can't really see much different between 84% to 88% and it took so much
investment to get to 88%

I guess as long as it is around 85% you should be fine.

My crit chance is 35% which is enough to do good damage.

first of all let me thank you for this guide and build, because it is the main reasons why I am playing POE. I like these sort of melee fights, with high attack speed and enough life leech to nearly tank all possible monsters - awesome work.

But there are two things I would like to ask........

My char is only lvl 81, but it starts to get harder for me reaching higher numbers on life and DPS. I have no idea how you are able to achieve 50k DPS and especialy 6k Life !? My DPS shows 30k and I am at only 4,5k life, so let me know if you have some time to maybe look at my char and help out a little.

And the other thing I wanted to know is your choice in the skill tree to take some 5% life notes and the 5% iAS not for claws (far right side). Would it not be a better choice to take the RETRIBUTION NOTE ? 2 Points for 5% life, 5% iAS and then the win of 10 strength, 10 int and 14% melee damage, if you take it instead of one 5% life note and the 5% iAS note ? What do you think ?

1) To be honest at level 81 getting 4.5k hp and 30k dps is very good

Please remember I am over 10 levels above you which counts alot esp since I am in my 90s.

Since I have worked so long on my character all my items are pretty awesome ( For example My claws average 315 physical dps ) So don't worry about getting your character as good as mine but mine just show case how 'strong' you can get with the build :)

I think you really just need another 500 to 1k hp and 5k dps is really enough to do all end game content including Atziri

If you link up your gear I can have a look but from reading your description you are doing very
well :)

2) YES you are correct, even after nearly a year since I started this forum build, my build is stil work in progress since they change the passive tree every big update.

I will update it when I get home.. I mean since my last post I again have changed me equipment

for example I am using this belt now



Highly recommended since the life is better than most 70 hp+ belt and increase your dps significantly.
resistance is a bit low you should be able to get the resistance from other items to cap resistance

Thanks for your fast and nice answer, and what you wrote about the 500 to 1k HP and the 5k DPS is exactly my problem. My goal was 5k+ HP and 35k DPS like you mentioned, but now it looks like these numbers are really hard to get for me.

Here is a LINK to my TREE, but you will not find much of a difference. I played with Minddrinker for a long time, but when I reached the 30k I decided to go only with 2% Mana Leech, and at the moment it seems to be enough. Only when I have to fight a little longer with hard Bosses I have to use a mana flask or wait.

I have 391% Crit Strike Multipl. at the moment.
Would it make sense to go down to 350%, and take the Melee Physical Damage Gem instead of the Critical Strike Multipl. Gem ? I mean, I would have to reroll my Carcass, but would it make sense ? Much more DPS ?

Crit multi gem was nerfed hard lately. I am too lazy to calculate it or even find some stat calculator. :) So I would do following:

1) grab some tabula rasa and test it for myself. OR
2) take out multistrike from your carcass. And test 2 variants, both with 3 support gems:

. a) dual strike + faster att, phys dmg, __________, splash
. b) dual strike + faster att, ________, inc crit dmg, splash


For me (92lvl, 6.3k hp and 42k dps) when I want to go with item quantity gem I swap out from my carcass multistrike gem, but I inc crit dmg should be even lower at priority, as follows:

With my gear, stats and auras:

5 supp gems: 42905
4 supp gems, without inc crit dmg 21/20: 33234
4 supp gems, without faster att 21/20: 31712
4 supp gems, without multi 20/20: 29249
4 supp gems, without phys dmg 20/23: 28311

PS: The choice could be in theory dependent on your probablity to do a crit + crit multiplier + non crit dmg.

After looking at your dps, I saw there is not that much difference between the gems, but phyisical damage looks to be at least the best one - like I thought. The interesting thing for me is to see how much DPS the 6L will bring - awesome ! I am at 31k without phys dmg, so would at least have 40k with a 6L - that will be my next goal - thx for your help !

From looking at your items and passive tree, you seem to be doing very well.

Some pointers

1)

With the Alphas' Howl is it not possible to run the elemental resist aura ?

This way you can swap some of your gear out for more hp and dps focus gear like



2)

Yes def remove the crit damage for melee physical.. The crit damage should be the 6th socket.

Maybe even fire damage now but its hard to get so many red sockets on your carcass jack

I have a level 20 physical melee if you want to buy it off me for 25 chaos

3)

To be honest your gear is pretty damn good for your level ( 81) but if you go on poe xyz
you should be able to upgrade them. I'll probably say getting a 6 linked is your next step and
that should easily add another 5k to your dps whilst if you want for the next 4 levels just concentrate on the life wheel and you should be able to get that 5k hp :)


If 6 linked carcass is just too expensive I would recommend a good bringer of rain.


me with 6 linked carcass jack = 50k AOE

me with 5 linked carcass jack = 40k AOE

me with bringer of Rain = 46k* AOE ( with added fire instead of critical damage, my bringer of rain is corrupted)


* included reduction of melee splash

This is also greatly improve your health since bringer of Rain has loads of hp

Thinking about the price difference I would get the bringer of Rain unless you really really
want to min max the build.. One cost 1 to 3 ex whilst the other cost 25 to 35 ex.

But to be honest your build should be able to easily do low level 70s maps and even mid level 70 maps without much of an issue and with some careful play be able to do 76+ maps. I'll probably stay away from level 76+ maps bosses unless you are confidence but for a level 81 dual claw vaal pact you are probably the strongest I have seen :)

But......
I found a Windripper and traded it for a 6L Carcass today, so I am really happy at the moment and now have to try it with that much DPS. The only thing I look now, is leveling up to 90 and maybe getting more LIFE and a little bit more Manareg and Critchance.

My DPS went from 31k with the 5L to an unbelievable 47k with the 6L. I had do double check it because I couldn´t believe it, but it seems that I have a lot of +physical damage on my gear, so the 20/20 gem worked out great.

Changed two points in my tree for now - took away 5% iAs and 4%area to take the two points for mana help. Hope that will help with my mana, and now I will go and ONESOT some monsters. :D:D:D

Yeah basically your dps is basically done to be honest you really don't need more than 40k dps I think probably the only thing you'll need to work on is more hp but that shouldn't be too hard since you are so near so many hp nodes :)

Your build being so strong now at level 81 I think there is great potential that you will surpass mine both with dps and hp once you reach 90+ :)

I don´t think that I will surpass you, but that was never my goal. I only wanted to have a character that can do all maps and all bosses, and can go to lvl 90 without big problems, and makes fun to play.

Seems like I made the right choice - thx - :D:D

Now I am at lvl 84, and allready doing 73-75 maps without any problems. Most of the maps I do without Critical Damage Gem, but with Item Rarity Gem instead, because I still do 38k DPS !

The last thing I want to reach still are the 5k to 5.5k live, but I think because of the missing life on the helm, that will not be so easy, but maybe I am wrong and level 90 along with 20 percent more life skill points will get me to that goal - will see.
