Framerate drops rapidly

Am I the only one having that issue with an nvidia gpu?

On the docks I have a fps drop to 30 from my usually 60+ just like that. When in party it can go down to 20ish. Also I have pretty fierce jumps on any maps from 170-40 ish.
Fluctuating framerate still present. Before a few patches ago my framerate was a steady 55-60~ on windowed fullscreen, now it spikes ranging from 48-60+.

Weird thing is when i play it on Fullscreen, the FPS spikes up and down like crazy, ranging from 30 - 110.

Playing on GTX 555

For ATI users this is something of a known issue;

http://techreport.com/review/24022/does-the-radeon-hd-7950-stumble-in-windows-8

it seems to be an issue with the newer cards and from some other reading that I did previously (but cant find at the moment) ATI is aware of it and supposedly working to remedy it. It seems to be worse in POE than most games, I play a few other games and the issue is sometimes noticeable, sometimes not, according to the game. That said POE is the worst I've run into. Even opening the chat window and enabling global chat can drop my frame rate down from 60-30 (with a 6970 modded 6950).

All this is on GGGs Radar, but they are not currently working on it, afaik.

A shame as the various performance issues (including desyncs) is ultimately going to cost more in revenue than anything else. I recently bought another bunch of banks slots but at this rate won't be filling them. The frustration is starting to overtake the fun sadly.

I was thinking of putting some money into the game... but seriously, dying with lag spikes due to my own lightning arrow is ridiculous... been losing lots of exp... and I tend to play less and less, it's really testing my limits, I really want to play hardcore as well, but at this rate that is impossible for me.. my friends are farming at docks and becoming higher level then me... and they tell me to farm at docks... but best i can do is farm at fell shrine so that i get enough exp and all that...

though in fell shrine i can die from archers if I lag... this is getting really annoying and starting to really make me not pick up the game...

anyways I really hope this issue gets fixed before my patience run out... and end up quiting.

Ive got i5 3570, GTX 660OC, 8gb RAM. It's only game so far where all cores reached 100% load and it's not even set on high settings -.-.
Death after death after death because of this shit, and still no acknowledgement from devs. getting really tired of this

If that's the case it's a damn shame since many people are on the verge of quitting the game.
Anyone else noticed significant fps drop after new patch? For example: ~40-50 while standing in the city (over 100 before); ~30 in the Docks (70-90 before). Also, even more spikes and it's totally unplayable right now.

Yep, ATI Radeon.
Here, too, poor performance with my brand new AMD Radeon HD7770 in combination with Catalyst 13.2 beta drivers. Funny thing is, my ancient 8800GT had a lot better performance in PoE. GGG have no love for AMD?
