Framerate drops rapidly

I have fixed the fps suttering/drop problem on my end, I need you guys to test it out as well.

Be warned, there is a wall of text. I will make you work for it!

Been a while, but having the fps drops described throughout the thread, did anyone find a way to fix the issues after all?

I'm running on a:
mobo: ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0
CPU: Phenom II x6 1100T (3,3Ghz)
GPU: SAPPHIRE HD 7870 2GB GDDR5
RAM: 8GB
SSD

I mostly get 57-60 fps (with vsync on) but every now and then i get spikes down to ~20 fps or even worse. Sometimes it occurs when a large pack of mobs appears, some others just when i'm moving through an already cleared area. Seems a bit random.

I've tried a lot of settings combinations, making the log file read only, updating GPU drivers, checking GPU/CPU temperatures, setting PoE priority to high through task manager etc.

Only thing i've not tried so far (from what i've read till now) is unparking my CPU cores which i doubt will make any noticeable difference.

I know its an old card but for the most part im having the same problem as everybody else in this thread seems to be having(FPS spikes when spells are used or for no reason), I have tried multiple things that have been suggested and so far none of them have worked which is a shame i do love this game but its becoming unplayable.

I can run WOW, EVE and other games just fine so i hope a solution is found soon.
