Hardcore League: Templar GOD Build

I've taken a liking to your build and decided to make a Templar around this, but I have a few notes about late game especially.

As previously stated the Elemental Resistance with Shields nodes are really good, especially in the late game where chaos damage will wreck you, sacrificing some nodes for that won't hurt later on.

Second thing I was experimenting with is the Endurance nodes, I think sacrificing 16% Armor and 16% Energy shield for 2 Nodes is good considering 2 Nodes give you 10% Reduced Damage Taken and 10% Elemental Resistance. So with that you will have 5 Endurance nodes which is 25% reduction, they also stack with armor so it's really good.

Ooooh and I have a question that has been bugging me for the first time I saw your build.

Does Lightning Strike proc Elemental Equilibrium on enemies? If yes I can't see why it's so in the shadow.

I also sacrificed 8% health for 15% all resistance, I don't know if that will be fine but I'm still experimenting with it.

Here's the final build:

You are right, stacking resistances in the late game + HP is a must. While your mathematics are correct with the Endurance, I think Endurance without stat point nodes is enough.
To cover this, like you did yourself but with what I toyed even more is:

I removed 2x Armour and Energy Shield like you did yourself, 1 Srenght Node & 6% Elemental Resistance and allocated the points in the following way;

Shield Block & Defences + 2x Elemental Resistances with Shield which will give tremendous boost in Elemental resistances in total :)

Thanks for pointing out ^^

Elemental Equilibrium should proc, and it could be very effective, too. But it would require another AoE spell along with the Lightning Strike to work well.

My Question is should I really get Blood Magic, because with this spec we have so much int. Mana is for me currently not a big problem. At least in groups there is always a guy with clarity.

And same for Resolute Technique, it may very nice at low levels, but later there are so much group buffs with crits etc. You really want to give that dmg potential? At least this one is easy to respec.

Wooow..you have freaking good luck mate!

Actually we have only 7 Intelligence nodes just to boost up our resistances and in the end DPS.
You mentioned grouping, yeah you do get alot of auras in there. Still the build remains viable and you are not forced to party every time you play because of this " Lonewolf " build.

It's good for teaming and even better for soloing :)

1) Use 1 Handed Mace with high Physical Damage% % Elemental Damage%. Prefer Physical Weapon% as the Elemental scales off the Physical Damage!
NOTE: Scepter isn't considered as Mace because you don't benefit from Mace nodes if you equip Scepter!

just tested this, and mace damage nodes does scale with scepters.

I can't calculate just now but it'll do just fine. Comparing the HP nodes I've got selected along with the Resistance nodes + Armor with other guides out there, I'd say I have the most survivability buffing nodes along with as much DPS as possible.

What would be the best curse to use with this build? Considering you're quite a tanky guy that can take lots of punishment then I guess the Punishment or Vulnerability curse would be okay? Even Elemental Weakness would be neat with the elemental damage this build does.

Can't wait to get to higher levels to really work out this build.
