Hardcore League: Templar GOD Build

Can't talk for the author, but it looks obvious you should go for armor only, with as much resists as you can get :P . You won't get enough intel to wear any decent ES equipment, and evasion is nullified by a passive this build gets.

Hi! I've played following this build on hardcore (managed to get to 37 so far) and I'm loving it! But one question I had in mind: Which defensive stats/armor type should I go for? At first I thought it was armour/energy shield but now with nearly all the intelligence nodes gone, should I just focus on armour?

Thanks! :)

As Kilazur previously stated, stack the armour :)

Use the best Energy Shield + Armor - armour pieces till your Intelligence limits the high end ones. In the middle levels you are going to switch into "Marauder" armour pieces. Also getting a good shield with big armour and Elemental Resistances will boost your total defences enormously because of the Shield passive nodes we've taken on the build :)

Thanks for the support ^^

So I am about level 16 At the moment and I like the look of this build, just a quick question. Should I go up and get shield mastery and body and soul, or should I go straight for Resolute Technique and blood magic? For example this is where I am at on the passive tree:

Melee physical damage doesn't affect the LS projectile and scepters are considered maces. Might wanna learn how stuff works before making a guide that claims to be immortal with so little hp.(not even possible btw)
I'm on this build now and have fun, but worrying about Aura issue(Cuz of Blood Magic).

Is it possible to use some auras in this build?

If it does, then what auras should I choose?

It's too bad that staff block is such shite, this is a really nice looking build and I don't believe that it will work with staves.

You have a good start in there, keep aiming for Resolute Technique :)

Actually it does 'cause Lighting Strike converts 50% of your Physical damage into projectiles, which is why we buff physical damage in first place. I trusted on one guys post where he claimed Scepters don't gain any physical damage bonus from the nodes while Scepter is equipped ( bug ). How come so many have praised this guide then?

So, I've been leveling my templar and have had trouble finding direction with my build. At least for the earlier stages it seemed as though my toon sucked. Then I stumbled upon your build and realized that with a couple point changes that I was basically following the same path you are. So I was intrigued. Was wondering if you could give me a better idea of skills you use. Perhaps I missed it earlier in this thread. Besides lightning stikes and glacial hammer I mean. Keep up the good work
Hi, i wud like to thank FreshBrewed for sharing this awesome build for templar.
ve tried twice already to make a tank melee templar, but failed.

Its my third time to make a templar and followed FreshBrewed's build and the result is awesome.

Im now a level 32 Templar after just 12hrs of playing.
Soloing all Maps and Bosses except Vaal (I did try though lol)
Im now in Act 3 and ii still solo till Battlefront.

I'll post again after i solo Piety (wish me luck lol)

Good job FreshBrewed and Thanks.

I'm happy to hear this mate! The skills mentioned in the build are core skills which will gain the most bonuses from our passive skill build. The skills I mentioned in there are my recommendations but you are free to edit or use any other skill you like :) Try everything, take the one which suits the most with the chosen build!
