Which bandits should i kill?

@Roddyriot
I don't fully understand your first question. This build uses Lightning Strike + Glacial Hammer as it's core skills. Any other skill is upon your choice. Grab those skills which suits your gamestyle/personal preference better. I took Molten Shell, for example, to clear trash mobs faster. About Anatarian's statement on the weapon damage: Take Physical % like he said. Our main skills benefit from Physical Damage, and in top of that, we take more Physical damage nodes than elemental in total. More physical damage means more total damage. Elemental damage is still a nice perk to have. @york1986 Again, it's your personal choice. What do you prefer? Raw stats or ultimate build diversity? Choice is yours. I've got balls of steel

I was struggling with this build upon getting into merciless, but now I have to check if I've turned it on normal by accident.
The key for me was Enduring cry + going over 3khp and a little bit of chaos resist for the snakes. Its essential to keep up EC if you want to stand and bang with enemies. I got the 4th endurance charge from Oak and my survivability shot up even with crap gear. I wish I had used Enduring cry earlier. Plus Faster attacks gem>all other green gems for this build imo. I wasted so much time with chain and fork + the others whilst levelling and struggled hard. I thought I needed aoe, but when you think about it most enemies come to you anyway in the end and if they don't you shield charge or leap slam them. I dropped life leech and loh gems too with no problems also, for more dps.I recommend rushing to get the static shock nodes, after BM its a big dps increase. I'm probably much too tanky for default but I can always adjust things later, and I HATE losing any xp. Its fun to take on big pulls. In act 3 merciless last night I desync'd out for 45 seconds, and when it updated I was in a totally different room surrounded by lightning resist flicker champions and still on 85% alive somehow. my current mace. not the best around. but it works for me. 2.5k dps atm. Also, remember, go for PHYSICAL + ATTK SPD MACE FOR MAX DMG. Also, use ADDED FIRE DMG instead of ADDED PHYS DMG gem for MORE DMG. :) IGN: Aiers. Last edited by aiers#1673 on Mar 1, 2013, 10:40:48 AM

Thanks for all the mace posts!
Build update: currently lvl 63. Finished act 3 merci easily with crappy gear except my mace. I am using armor from when I was level 40-45. 2k hp 60-75 res on fire,ice,lighting -25 chaos res 2k armor I bought a decent mace with 100-180 phys DMG and 15% attk speed and it boosted my dps a ton. The main things which helped were: -buying a quality LS gem, pretty much doubled my DMG -getting the ability to shock enemies After that, even with my crap gear, act 3 Merci was not bad at all, I'm still squishy but the pierce adds so much DMG and LGoH |

Currently level 61 with this build now on HC. Been farming ledge all day to ensure my survival.
2425 Life 1700 Armor (might be a bit low, but 2 granite flasks and molten shell makes it very doable) +80% elemental resists -48% chaos resist (have to fix that soon) 65 life regen per sec Using this mace atm which gives me 1218 LS DPS unbuffed(fork/added ele dmg/life on hit): Glacial hammer DPS is 1500 with weap ele dmg Works very well for me at the moment. I also use a rejuvenation totem and molten shell for those hard packs. The hardest part so far was cruel act 3, but when I got to merciless things got a bit better. |
