I run this build and I'm curious if I should go for Blood Magic right away, even though I don't have any life on hit/life leech gems. Should I wait until I have those to skill that?

I would, but if you have enough life leech/hit on gear you might be able to make it work. Add up any life steal on gear and see if that % of your dps can maintain the LS cost with Blood Magic.

Well, I died at cruel Vaal- one shot by the mace attack. Screw it though, I am continuing on in default since I have finally found a build that is fun to play after countless alts lol.

Will return to hc when races start.

BTW, leap slam is perfect for this build. Helps to kite/knockback to position for LS spam. Making it more managable in merciless so far.

I`d recommend geting Blood Magic after you have decent life leech (having life on hit is enough)

could u please post ur current gear + state of progress?
Im lvl 61 and not able to solo farm Fellshrine Ruins, I feel really undergeared but maybe its fine because its my first HC Char that goes that far after dieing on a lvl 47 shadow.

What do you choose for bandits?

Present gears



i decided to let go of Fork/LMP.
in Merciless its more important to kill fast rather than spread my damage,
my own opinion and preference, im good with 3 projectiles.

at level 65 i have better gears waiting for me like:

which will significantly increase my survivavility.
In party, its only when im really careless (which happens when im already sleepy lol)
that i die. Still need to find better boots, belt and gloves.
Even without wearing this 3 i have over 70+ all element resist.

Im following your Guide, but after i skilled Blood Magic my life is running down so fast i cant clear act 2 alone anymore and also having problems @ act 1. Before i was farming fellshrine ruins without problems.

My lvl is 44.
my current life is 1303 + 53 shield.
Armor = 1093, Resistence all 80 and -20 Chaos.
im going to post my Equip, so you might can help me what to change to get back on tracK!

based on ur weapon and level im guessing that ur DPS is somewhere between 500-700.
lifeleech skill gives 1% or even at level 10 2%.
2percent of 700 is 14. which is below ur cost of casting LS with its support gems.
in addition to the damage done to u by the mobs. at the early stages when ur damage
is still low, its better to use Life on hit rather than life leech,

only when u have DPS over 2k, is it advisable to use lifeleech.

also make sure u have at least 4, 900+ life flasks.
everytime you spam clik 1,2,3 key, thats 2700hp to be given to you within 8-11 secs
depending on the recovery rate of the flasks. it quickly refills since u kill mobs.

Rinse then repeat. lol
