Thanks for posting this build, it's been helpful. I'm new to the game and having troubles following your directions on how to build the character as I level. Could you possibly post links to 30p, 60p, 80p builds so it's easier to see the progression?

Also, I see people say a 111 build is unrealistic and a 80p build should be almost complete? Would 80p in this build still be considered complete?

Thank you!

:)

Yep the build will work out with 80 skill points by sacrificing a bit DPS.

For the high demand I'll make builds using 30,60 & 80p tomorrow.

I have a few questions, if you don't mind spending some time. Okay - so I have been playing PoE for a good month now, and my Templar build is extremely similar to what you have here. My main question is in regards to fishing at the top for the Electric skill circle.

Currently, I am running ground pound with the same idea that you are using here - blood magic, life leech, high armor. I use the same basic path down to the bottom to grab Unwavering and Armour Master. My primary difference is that most of my damage is based in one handed weapons/mace, as opposed to elemental.

How much will my build suffer if I end up using L Strike as opposed to Ground without the elemental bonuses? In addition, why would you say that L Strike is stronger overall, as opposed to something such as Infernal or Ground?

And finally, what other gems are you favoring? A Curse? A Totem? Buffs?

Thanks in advance for your help, and also, this build is extremely fun. I recommend it to new and experienced players alike. =)
is lightning strike the only spell that cause static blows to accur, or does ur lightning dmg from each physical hit from wrath make static blows a chance to accur on each hit ?

You have totally valid point. Fishing points in the top left corner of the skill tree to buff Lightning Stike isn't as effective as drop down the Intelligence nodes and switch to all physical damage nodes available + use a full physical melee skills. It's just a personal preference with what skill you enjoy to play :) I chose Lightning Strike for the long rage hits which is almost totally physical attack. If I encounter hard bosses, hard rares or packs, I can kite and run and spam my projectiles. You can't do the same with close fightning skills such as ground slam or sweep.

You are more exposed for incoming damage with the close melee skills than with the lightning strike. It kinda "adds" to your survivability. That's why I went for a lightning strike.

Your build's playstile suits more to a Normal League. But I'm not dismissing the build's viability on HC. My build is more like "safe mode dps oriented" if you get the point :)

In a nutshell: all gems that contribute to this build are welcomed. This includes for example, Added Fire Damage. Rejunavition totem is also ass-saving skill to have.

Thanks for the support :)

I really want a Templar God build like this but one that uses mana instead of blood magic that runs a lot of aura's.

If you can get a crap ton of aura's couldn't you make a better build then going blood magic?

If you can get in eldrich battery into a build like this it would be great. I am pretty sure there are items that make you stun proof later on so its no big deal worrying about unwavering stance.

Can you even use auras with blood magic? Excuse me for being uninformed.
I'm starting this build right now in HC, how is it in endgame maps?

Sure you can use aura's as blood magic but you cant really use a lot of the good ones because it takes too much of your health. So your limited. Thats why I am trying to come up with a Tank that has lots of mana to use lots of aura's instead of going blood magic.
Hi,

To help answer those questions about auras.

I feel that if you are playing HC, you might want to lay off getting percentage based Auras or even Tempest Shield.

I am 1.6k HP @ lvl 49. with Tempest and Wrath on, i drop to 1k++.

Thats a difference.

Wrath is easy, 160 life reserved isn't much for our build, infact i think we can stack non-percentage aura without an issue.

So if you are softcore like me who just want to wack stuffs and feeel cool. :)

My proposal is:

-As many non-percentage based aura as you want.
-1x percentage base aura Maximum with reduced mana (you still need to survive in SC!)
IGN: Aiers.
At cruel act 2 am still able to solo weaver and white beast...
Though be careful with poison which no tanker can survive if not careful

I do have to admit i cant solo the bandits atm lvl 47
I still have noob gears( still using my lvl 35 gears since cant find better ones)

i sacrificed getting dps coz i went straight to get Unwavering stance
(2 more nodes and ill get it)
which resulted in slow kills
I real want to be stun proof asap

Note to those going to cruel with this build
try buy Granite flask before u get to cruel
good luck
