When i made the thread, i had not seen one single player corrupting item result. I just guessed it. And i was right.

from this point people who have read this thread will either deal with that kind of RNG start hoarding vaal orbs and selling them as soon as they can to prevent having to sell them with low rates. Or RAGE at GGG's logic.

Unlinking unsocketing rerolling uncoloring AND locking is as stupid as getting "No sockets" on your tabula rasa! And we have seen 2 or more tabula rasa corrupting results here : 18ES, 2 sockets.. i'd rather get the item at original post.

Too bad this thread got only 1/10th the number of views 1.1.0 patch notes thread got :P

No, the person using it on an end game item is the one making a mistake.

GGG said it's best to not use it on end game items, but instead to use them on mediocre items in the hope of turning it into something good. That way if something bad happens, you are not losing anything valuable.

I mean really, if you don't know what the orb will do, why are you using it on one of the most expensive items in the game on patch day, without looking at the forums to see what results people are posting?

It's a monumentally stupid decision and only the player is to blame.

I think, the reason for people to hate on this expansion, is that they are so uptight about the game in the first place.
Hell, i´ve been playing since CB, had my fair share of nolifing the shit out of it, too - Yet my best drops so far: a bad roll 2 socket lioneye´s and a few exalts.
I can (almost, well not really but i´ll just pretend) understand that people get frustrated, when they play for months and they don´t drop these mirrorworthy rares, or BIS uniques they see floating in the tradechat day by day.

That´s just how it works, with games like this. It´s all about luck.
When you are not having fun with the game, unless you find some op uber items and force yourself to play, just so you get said item, i think there is something completely wrong with how you approach gaming in general.

Imho, this patch is the best addition to the game since CB by far! It´s the definition of fun, really! If and when (and i´m pretty sure over time they will) people, get over the initial shock, and lighten up a bit, they´ll realize just how great this update really is.

I mean, come on have you seen what people purposely did to their legacy kaom´s and volatxics etc?
If you can´t laugh you ass off by looking at all these threads, you are seriously lacking humor.

As for all of us unlucky people? This patch is pure win! We can happily gamble away our shit drops in hope we create something amazing, without any risk whatsoever....if that´s not fun i don´t know what is....

this is perfect for dispensable unique rings and amulets (above ilvl 60). if it turns them into rares they can at least be used for chaos recipe instead of chance recipe.
