[0.10.4b] Bow Marauder (The Shocker (tm)) [**TO BE UPDATED SOON 1.0.0**]

Iron Grip sucks insofar as conversion bow skills go.

It only modifies the remaining physical damage after 50% is converted, which means you're only boosting whatever piddly physical your bow offers.

And from what I've seen, you kind of want more resistances than more physical defense later. You can easily hold off physical attackers with an ice totem and lightning spam. The elemental damage ones will just snipe you.

it is not true:

You should not post such screenshots without providing relevant information. You did not show which bow you are using, for example. Which makes your post potentially misleading.

EDIT: plus you are using Hatred, which further increases the gain from Iron Grip. Just add in all the relevant information, please.

EDIT 2: I also only just noticed that "evantide2" is wrong in his line; Iron Grip does not boost whats left after the conversion, it boosts the initial physical amount Before the conversion takes place, which effectively means it also boosts whatever is converted.
Life is tough... but it is tougher if you're stupid.

While I'm currently using this spec , leveling etc I was wondering one thing.

The build from your hc tree I believe that I picked gets unwavering stance but skips Iron Reflexes?

Since you recommend certain hybrid items, the evasion on them seems to be a waste of stats limiting you to armor - armor /es items.

Is this if you are going heavy tank build letting you pick up the 100% hit and building armor on survival with purity / resistances or am I missing something as I planned to get them both ( U stance and IR) and go for BM gem... Just wondering if I am missing something or is it a " you can modify as you like" kinda deal? Just trying to make sure I don't fuck myself over on that one.

Thanks for the great guide / build its a great read and very effective

Quick and clean answer :)

cheers for the response and good luck !
Iron grip works before the conversion thats going to net you +80% physical half of thats worth way mroe than wasting all those points on dex nodes in ranger teritory specialy since theres the triple life cluster nearby.

my screen shot is sufficient enough to prove that iron grip is not only applied to the left over part after conversion of lightning arrow, which is the entire point of my post.

I am not arguing whether a bow marauder should take iron grip or not, it is largely gear and build depend, but claiming that iron grip only affect the left over part after conversion is misleading. It is a build discussion thread, and how damage node and damage conversion work needs to be clarified

How much is EH worth nowadays?

and to answer your question -> of course not.
if you use EH, you're not using Frenzy

edit:
and blood rage in Merciles with -60% chaos resist = lucky u for having great gear

If I use the auras Anger, and Wrath isn't inner force suppose to increase my damage when I look at my stats sheet?

It never did any ideas?

I see that you went for that skill.
