would like to know if skele totem can be put into this build in order to have some kind of shield between the mobs?if it cant why?or is there anything else that will work?

Yes it can! There is one completely free 4L item which can be used for whatever the player wants it to.
Life is tough... but it is tougher if you're stupid.
Please anyone can explain me the meaning of skills acronims like:

4L - LA+LMP+WED+LoH
5L - LA+LMP+WED+LoH+BM (Don't need 5L before you need BM gem)
6L - LA+LMP+WED+LoH+BM+FAttacks (Don't need 6L, but FAttacks is gorgeous)

and where have dex ponits for use bows, im at the beginning game and cant use a lot of bows.

thank you very much

LA - Lightning Arrow
LMP - Lesser Multiple Projectiles
WED - Weapon Elemental Damage
BM - Blood Magic
FAttacks - Faster Attacks

Try to wear gear that gives you dex bonuses, if necessary skill into dex nodes.

If anything fails, postpone the usage of a bow and stick to a 2hander or whatever else str based weapon you can easily use.

Adapt to what you find! Path of Exile is not a game you can actually fully plan for if you are just starting a new character and cannot twink it with a high level character you already own, so you just use whatever you have available and fight your way through.

That is a good idea actually; I'm going to update the FAQ with abbreviations used in the guide. Thanks!
Life is tough... but it is tougher if you're stupid.
Just a quick update (I won't do a full write up until they are equal in level since the glass cannon one is going to get a ton of damage over the next couple levels), but I just finished A3 merc on my more glass cannon build (skips IR and most of the bottom track to get some IAS nodes from the middle then get some nice nodes from the shadow and ranger area).

Currently I really don't notice the difference between having the extra deff from IR+Grace and not having it, so I am leaning towards the higher DPS variant. Overall I think the DPS variance will be about 20% when they are equal level using the same equipment, mostly due to more IAS. I am also purposefully avoiding taking IG until my last node before the comparison so I can post numbers on exactly what it does if you are going with an elemental thicket. Overall I don't think it will add a whole lot, but I do think it means this variant would do even more damage if I used blackgleam+Lioneye Glare, but that is a bit out of my price range (unless someone wants to give me a Glare :P).

For the record, upon finishing A3 Merc, my more fragile build has 20 deaths.

According to my notes 12 of those deaths are from DCs/Desyncs/AFKing in a zone (sometimes RL calls and especially during normal I just don't care lol). Of the 20 deaths 3 where in Merc. I died once in fetid swamp to rhoas while way under leveled (If I had waited until the assigned level for that zone I would have had my 5L armor and final bow, which really ups my dps), once because Vaal hit me with a falling rock, and I tried to spam my insti heal potion but my fingers were off and a second rock killed me, and Ice form Piety got me once, but I think there might have been some desync with that one. She transformed, hit me putting me really low, I ran behind a pillar, where I could still see her, the pillar blocked the next two waves, but the third one killed me for some reason. I could still see her the whole time so I know she didnt move.

I can't really compare this number of deaths to my traditional build, because that was my first character so it has TONS of deaths (things like Vaal are really hard when its your first time and you haven't read anything about the fight).

If i'm going purity instead of grace, i'm skipping IR too.
link to your build?
VenatorPoE,

if we're swapping out purity for grace at endgame, then why even get IR?

You can get the ele dmg from Celestrial Walker + Elementalist nodes near Amplify in Templar.
We could stop at Diamond skin/frenzy in Duelist.

save alot of points from going IR and the elemental dmg nodes in Ranger?
