Nah, I can't really play HC because over the course of an average evening, my net probably cuts out for 30 seconds 1 to 3 times.
On the character I am currently leveling, in cruel, I DCd immediately after clicking "Kill xxx" vs two different barbarian lords in one play sitting :/. |

I heard somewere that there is some mana reservation gems that should not be leveled up, like the other ones.
If this is true, wich ones should i stop leveling for this particular build and most importantly, when should i stop leveling them. thanks regards |

" What do your gear and playstyle say? If you go top, you get more damage and more HP, if you go bottom, you get blood magic and much more tanky stuff. By the moment it matters, around lvl50ish, you will have both top side up to Static Blows, and bottom side to Iron Reflexes. So don't worry much, whichever way you go you won't be wrong! Hello,
I have gotten my physical damage ranger to lvl80, therefore, I'm looking for next project. It should be still ranged character but a lot more tanky with a different skill set--bow marauder looks interesting. I'm a bit confused about the skills to be used and the passive tree. My confusion stems from picking up Frenzy nodes in passive tree but the suggested skills are LA and EH. Where does Frenzy come into play? Another minor confusion comes from picking Iron Reflexes. Are you supposed to go for hybrid armors or even stack with pure evasion ones? Finally, would not be worthwhile to take Point Blank keystone? This is a bow user that should not be afraid to stay up-close and personal, therefore, Point Blank could provide huge boost to damage output. I have also slightly modified passive tree because going into ranger area seems to me rather wasteful, lots of +10 DEX nodes to be picked for few damage enhancing nodes. I have instead tried to pick damage enhancing nodes in duelist starting area (not as potent as ranger's but a lot closer). I have also added Steel Skin node + Arcane Efficiency node on top. This modifications compared to original build resulted in: - 2 less passive points required (can be used to get % HP nodes) - +10% IAS - -1% projectile damage - +8% physical damage with bows (inferior stat for this build but it was on the way) - -80 AGI - +20 STR - +50% armor - 10% mana reduction My modified build: Your feedback will be appreciated. I have also advocated the duelist starting area over the ranger one.
I will also say, that as someone who originally grabbed the same Steel Skin/reduced mana cost cluster by Unwavering, and even debated cutting through the duelist starting area via the health nodes to get that steel skin cluster, that I feel so fine for survivability even without that extra defense that I would scrap those clusters and grab the cluster of 3%IAS nodes up to finesse that you pass buy on the way to the duelist area instead, IAS has pretty nice returns on it :p |

To avoid having to keep up with these discussions, I'm editing the OP to include my "post-merciless-build-well-into-maps". It has been developing for quite a while now, might as well make a section about it since more and more people are hitting high level with their Shockers.
