[0.10.4b] Bow Marauder (The Shocker (tm)) [**TO BE UPDATED SOON 1.0.0**]

Why no celerity and no armor master? isnt faster movement not worth it?

I love this build vent, well worth the extra prep from getting the gems from templar/ranger quests, I have some general questions.

1) When do you switch to life leech from Loh?

2) When do you transition to LA, any particular level? I have about 75% extra elemental dmg from gear. Currently lvl 45

3) Since the build takes blood magic, does a reduced mana gem make wrath, anger, and hatred doable with the life reserve being taken away?

4) i love bloodrage but is there a point to have both frenzy and bloodrage like what situations would warrant frenzy use and bloodrage use? and kinda confused here but when we use frenzy do those charges apply to our other attacks like split arrow/LA?

P.S. I don't know how to link gear otherwise I would show it, can anyone help me out there please?

Blood Rage and Frenzy do not necessarily have anything to do with each other. They are separate skills with separate effects, yet they CAN be used together to a certain extent. So if you want to ditch one of them; it doesn't mean you have to ditch the other as well.

Celerity and Armour Master - basically if you want them, grab them. They are quite accessible with the current state of the build. Feel free to modify the build from the OP to suit your taste!

And lastly, dempseyroll:

1) When your DPS becomes counted in thousands. Level up both of the gems, and at about 1k DPS and Life Leech at 5% you may switch them up.
2) The nicest transition on Earth would be with a 5L armour, but if you want to use LA sooner, you can go for a 4L with LA+LMP+LoH+FA/Pierce. I don't really like using Chain before a 5L.

EDIT: I failed there. You want to use WED instead of FA/Pierce. Read further posts for more information.

3) As pointed in the OP, yes. You may use those auras even without reduced mana gem, but it makes it better.


If you want to link gear; click Post Reply; then click your character avatar in the top left corner; and then you may either click an item from your inventory or from your stash. You click any item ONCE and it gets pasted into your reply (if you click it twice or more it will paste that many instances of the item, and the code might be a little messy to clean up - don't click any item more than once!). That's all there is to it!

Never stop leveling your auras! Unless there is a specific reason why you would want to wait for a few levels - maybe your HP is still very low so it puts you in an overly dangerous situation. Generally, if you can level it - level it. And that's the case with every skill gem!

Probably mid cruel or higher I would guess, though I have been using LoH from the beginning with little issue.

I would as soon as you get a four socket S/S/D/D item (LA+Chain+WED+LoH) or, at least, that's my plan.

Absolutely and it's most definitely recommended to do so, so that you can up their level to as high as the build's attributes will allow.

You pretty much want to use bloodrage and/or frenzy whenever you can to maximize your attack speed. You don't use both; just one or the other depending on your own opinions of them.

As for Frenzy charges carrying over to other attacks, they most definitely do and that's the whole point of using Frenzy (to build up the charges and then switch over to LA and lay waste at ridiculous speeds).

To link items, have the post reply window open and click your character portrait in the upper left corner then click on whatever items you want to link (only click them once each) and then click the "x" to close the popup window and it'll have the item link BBC code in the post you're posting.

LA Chain WED LoH is missing LMP though. I did the same mistake above; I didn't include WED, which is quite crucial. Using LA without a 5L item just always manages to annoy me... In softcore I wouldn't mind all that much though, I would just slam a 4L with LA WED LMP Chain and call it a good day.

One thing I didn't notice before I read through your post is the guy mentions Hatred - you do NOT want to waste HP reservation on Hatred! You only really want to run Grace, Wrath and Anger. Hatred reserves 30% HP for a miniature DPS buff; it is not an aura viable for this build (it is the same deal as Iron Grip...).

i went static blows 1st instead of iron reflexes.
never thought i'd replace my current bow for another 7lvls. (currently lvl43)

I dare ask; isn't your current bow better DPS wise?...

wanted to post 1st :)

but i suspect new bow = better for boss.
i'm using burning arrow. it does +30% pysical AND adds +30% fire on top of the phy dmg.

i dont understand why use Frenzy over burning arrow for boss?
3 frenzy charges = +15%. burning arrow = +60%

tried new bow. my old bow =435 dps for burning arrow. new bow is only 360 dps for a net loss of -75? WTF?!

new bow: -72cold dmg but +81 dmg phy + fire combined. so new bow should be +9.

How is it -75 dmg?! is it because of the slightly faster attack speed on old bow?
