[0.10.4b] Bow Marauder (The Shocker (tm)) [**TO BE UPDATED SOON 1.0.0**]

Lets put it this way.

Iron Grip would give you 50 DPS.

Static Blows would double your DPS.

Disclaimer: figures used might differ in real game, but that's the standard ratio you should expect.

That's a pretty high phys bow, so Iron Grip will afford you more DPS than a typical low phys thicket bow. That being said, I would generally only go out of my way to get Iron Grip if I had a lot of stakced phys damage - more than that bow by itself. I would also be using Hatred, Added Fire Damage and possibly some other uniques that stack/convert phys into elemental.

As requested, here is my gear I used to solo from barracks to killing the general to killing piety all in one run without dying in merciless:

And for flasks:

My resistances are 70-80 aside from chaos resistances. Life is around 2k+ and I forget what my armor is but its around 50% dmg reduction. Life gain on hit and chain in my gloves is there just so I can level them up. I am level 67 and some of my gear needs big upgrades.

Wow nice, how are you working in end game maps?

still waiting on some people to get higher level so i can do maps with them but I expect it to be smooth enough, and also still waiting on getting a 5 link armor piece so i can start using chain

other than that, i can farm all of act 3 high level zones easy with this build and the gear
This build looks really interesting however i fail to understand one thing.
How will it get enough dexterity to be able to use the high-end bows?

I tried out this build quite some time with mediocore gear. Well, it kinda works but my dps sucks somehow.

I really like the idea but the main problem with this build is the >Perfect aim< passive. imho its the strongest Bow skillpoint, but as a marauder u are using a lot of points go get there.
On the other hand: A ranger can just grab them at the start and head straight down.

The Ranger will have low Dmg output early game and it takes quite some time to get RT, BM and HP, but once he got there, it's a breeze.

if going the way of the ranger, then forget RT. you have enuf +accuracy nodes to get 90%+ accuracy. close enuf, plus you still have critial hits.

the problem is u wont have static blows.

also, you're going to get bloodmagic late in the game.
for the fun factor, i prefer not having to worry about drinking mana then not being able to get back to the proper QWERT hotkeys during a firefight.

nothing more frustrating in the middle of a mob than pressing 4 for mana, then hitting the TAB key (OR 1 KEY) when u wanted Q for rain of arrows

With the finished build you have...

...which is more than enough to run practically anything you want. By then, use Onyx amulets, Light Quivers, and pick up the two nearby +30 Dex nodes.

EDIT: also finding +X Dexterity on random items of yours is not all that rare... I never had any problems with Dexterity with this build.

So just to make sure: The two main damage dealing abilities required is Lighting Arrow and Elemental Hit, right?

Sweet thanks for clarifications, currently i am a 2h marauder but most likely will switch to this cause really tired of beeing melee. Thanks again:)

No.

For AoE you can pick between: Lightning Arrow, Split Shot, Ice Shot (even Frenzy or Elemental Hit)

For single target you can pick between: Frenzy, Elemental Hit, Ice Shot

So whatever you like; pursue it. One guy a few posts back said he doesn't like Split Arrow because of the aiming mechanism, so he's not using it.

If you want to min/max with definite favourites than yes, LA and EH win.
