I like the direction your taking with this, even if you solo - there's still the competitive nature of being on a persistent server, not to mention PvP.

Myself, i imagine i will solo sometimes - just for fun. But I'm a big MMO gamer, so i'll probably adventure in PUGs the majority of the time -

Or hang out in town, getting my RP on :P

I am very glad to see that the game will be playable solo. Constantly having to rely on other gamers to enhance your game experience is just plain old ANNOYING!
Control is an illusion!!!
Yes having the option to play off-line is a good idea. You can experiment without having to worry too much about the ramifications of your actions. Online multi-play is the ultimate for me though.

Just to clarify, even though you can play by yourself, you still have to be online to do so. It is all run on the game servers

I can't say for sure, but yes - I'm pretty sure that's how it'll work.

Persistent Online Server, with Public Towns, PvP areas etc - but the outside World or Dungeons are an Instance for you or your group.

Think GW or DDO, atleast that's how i see it :)

Hi, back on the Baldurs Gate and also with the Never Winter Nights, some friends of mine used to create small modules for those games to play between us, some of 'em are damn freaks of the damn Dungeons & Dragons (the 1St edition, the heretics of 'em...) but some of 'em are more as a person should be; meaning this... that they created modules more in the line of the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, that fits better for me.
I enjoy very much the SP long campaigns or short/mid lenght modules with a good background and history line, and hell yeah; i'll love to be able of play a Offline campaign or some modules to practice with the game interns and learn about the world itself and the history arround it.
I think that may be good or at least pimp if there were tools to create Offline campaigns or modules by the players to share 'em between us, where we could introduce our own (user created) objects and not only design a map, place enemys, design NPCs and PCs text boxes.. etc... .
It would be great, ever that those tools can only be used for Offline SP or in all case... for create modules that play with friends but that don't enable to cheat or blast the game. I've always hated the damn cheaters, and in games of kind... more. Let's C ya

I'm not too sure on the differences between single player online and offline, except that offline limits it so that you can't interact, but doesn't require an internet conenction. The days of people not having internet are long gone, and there seems to be nothing stated that is going to force you to play with others if you don't want to.
Hi, having the required tools to create your own Offline/SP modules that don't have any effect on your Online/MP PC may be pimp; not everyone may want to play a Warhammer Fantasy RPG based history line, or you couldn't use "strong language" on MP, or add certain things to the history line of your module that may be rated as +21 for someone... . Having the tools to create your own modules that play Offline and share with your friends may be pimp, there's people that really do master pieces with the history line of some modules; but i must agree with anyone that be able of play a module with other three fellas is more fun than play 'lone vs AI enemys, no matter the reward. Interesting. Could it be they prefer solo play because they dislike FFA loot?

Hopefully, we can take this to mean that, despite scaling, solo players will get drops good enough to show off.

as happy as i am to see i can play alone i dont like feeling like i have to. make grouping easier (loot system) for those that want it.
