Emergency Downtime - FIXED
I'm simply amazed by the replies to the post. I really didn't think the community would carry the spirit on to open beta.
Thanks to GGG for this amazing game, and thanks to you guys for not being bitchy. Devs, take all your time to eleminate those nasty bugs. Last edited by yakster#7047 on Jan 27, 2013, 5:18:30 PM

Can't blame them.
Closed beta was.. Hmm. 1,000-5,000 players on at a time. Now it's more like 10,000-69,000 players on at a time. "Break the Chains of Fate that Bind you."

" so true and beside its still in beta state so there will be hic-ups along the way... easy to bear the waiting when we get to play an amazing game for free. That does NOT support pay to win.. i am truely thankful to GGG for a game of this caliber and potential :) Last edited by bowfer8660#2094 on Jan 27, 2013, 5:17:45 PM

" the difference is that ppls paid about 60€ to play a game, but got error 37 and no idea what was going on. On PoE i felt kinda invited to play a good game and test it out. it just better. hail GGG |

when I think about GGG's launch of POE and compare it to Blizzard's launch of D3 I can't help but laugh a little bit.
For a small company, you guys are doing awesome. A bug or crash is expected in most popular releases. The difference is that you tell us what's going on and let us know you're actually doing something and care about us. Grinding Gear Games voted #1 in customer service for the industry. Keep up the good work and THANK YOU. “Upon him I will visit famine and a fire.
Till all around him desolation rings And all the demons in the outer dark Look on amazed and recognize That vengeance is the business of a man.” |

See I figured out the problem.
The real issue here is that the game is THAT good. People played it, then told friends, those friends played it and are telling more. This leads to too many people. Solution: Make the game suck... I suggest that you implement a system whereby a sudden influx of attack chickens mauls the player and kills them forcing them to have to log out and lose 1-3 items. After a few wild server chicken attacks the herd will be thinned out and we can get back to beta as usual...sans attack chicken, of course. - Pariah Ayers
