[1.2] Whaitiri's HC-viable CI Aegis Incinerator

So I've just managed to 6L my Carnal Armor and I've just ran into some issues.

I got a 41% mana reg ring, Dream Fragments and a level 16 Clarity but it's not enough reg to sustain perma casting Incinerate (Add Chaos, GMP, Echo, FC and Faster Projectiles).

I've switched some points around, took the 8% Projectile Damage and Coordination at the Shadow (this is actually better than getting Harrier imo) so I could pick up some more mana.

Having a 6L really makes this build awesome btw, that extra ~1k base dps given by a 19/20 FC is epic :D

Edit: I think I'm going to drop the Dream Fragments next, pick up another Str/Mana Reg ring and drop some of the 30 Str nodes in the tree and get two rings with the 20% ES mod.

For a 6L setup, you will definitely need a mana regen roll on wand too. Not sure if dropping Dream Frags will help you much, you will heavily cut your mana regen even further, and get frozen all the time. Better keep it and use the ES% mod on only one ring.

Yeah the idea was to drop the Dream Fragments and get an Alpha's Howl and use the second ring to reduce the ES drop from not having an ES helmet.

Having another ring with plenty of Str would also allow me to drop the 30 Str nodes which would free up two more points :D

I guess I'll give it a try once I'm done leveling my Elreon :D

Also decent wands with damage, cast speed and mana regen are hard to come by especially if you're looking to craft fire leech on them.

How much total ES do you have? You only get around 180% ES on the passive tree which seems a bit low, and you have to use aegis and a hybrid ES chest. Also, I think an interesting possibility with the new masters is to get a ring with elreon's prefix (-mana cost of skills) which might be more useful than flat % mana regen in helping sustain incinerate casting.

Currently i don't have this char rolled in Standard, as i sold off most of the gear before 1.2. With some random gear (Aegis, 500 ES Chest, 200 ES Helmet, 200 ES Gloves) i get to 7k ES.

You are totally right about Elreon's Prefix, but it would require lots of crafting to get some proper rings which may not be possible for everyone, that's why i didn't want to build around that and make it seem a neccessity. But, if you can get yourself some good rings this way, you can surely save some points on the tree.

I'll reroll this char soon in Beyond, after i'm done with a few more challenges. Will also try around with Apep'S and may try to get a high level Arctic Armour back into this build.

did you ever try atziri with that build?

Yes, and it worked but was very tedious. I think the typical life based max block/spellblock eb mom Incinerator works better against her, simply because you can use life flasks when needed.

Edit: To elaborate a bit further, Aegis protects best when there's many incoming hits at once, which is the case for everything in Apex but the queen herself. She casts fewer, very big-hitting skills which won't regenerate unblocked hits quickly enough, and as CI you can't flask back in this situation. So it requires lots of kiting to get Atziri herself down, but everything else in the Apex is a cakewalk.

It will utilize cybil's paw to regen life and aegis to regen es. Big problem is you can't use a wand with mana regen but with 2 50% regen rings I think it should be possible to at least sustain a 5linked incinerate. Also since I can probably get enough ES from just aegis, rainbowstrides, and an eva/es chest I can just stack armor/eva on the rest of my gear and not have to worry about es rolls.

Looks good, plenty of life, should be save for HC environments. The lesser mana regen will be countered be the overall lesser cast speed you got from tree and cybils. Let me know how it works for you.
