[1.2] Whaitiri's HC-viable CI Aegis Incinerator

Hello Guys. I've taken another path through the tree & alot of block... I really think I've done alot good in the tree but unsure how Practical Application functions with CI Energy Shield Stun Avoidence etc. (if Heart of the Oak is more worth it etc.)

I'm playing on Beyond so don't got alot of gear yet:


I really think the -4-8 mana use on rings by elroan master is insane on incinerate but requires to craft them from the bottom... Regal, exalt etc. But that's my idea... to avoid mana use/nodes in the tree.

Uniques I seek:
Alpha's Howl
Aegis Aurora or Rare Es Shield... Aegis 2% require ALOT of armour to be effective... Not sure I'll reach enough.
Rest Rares (for boosting my missing ES on the 2 gear pieces.)

Any ideas or Improvements?

You're right about Elreon's Prefix, it's insane for Incinerate. I'll put a note about it on the guide, but won't make it seem a necessity cuz' as you said, it's really hard and expensive to craft proper jewelry with it. But for leveling purposes, it should be more than fine.

Your tree looks good, but there's some issues you'll run into with Aegis. Without the Ev/ES clusters, you won't gain as much Evasion from Grace, and thus substantially less Armour in the end. And i'm not sure if you'll be able to run all 4 auras since you're missing 8% reduced reservation.

I'd say, your tree suits a rare shield, or maybe a Rathpith Globe better. It's a different attempt and you'll lose some tankiness over my Aegis build, but i could see it working.

PS: My Beyond gear is even worse :P

You're diffrently right about the armour amount. (which is why I took Sentinel & plan on using Alpha's Howl) - It may not be enough though!

The auras however isn't a problem (I'm able to run all of them: Discipline, Herald of Ice, Grace & Clarity) My incinerate doesn't cost mana atm (due to the rings) however...

I think you're right about the Aegies "vs." Rathpith. But atm I'm unable to test the amount of armour gained by Grace and Alpha's Howl (due to not being able to run with Grace and Infernal Mantle together (too risky on low mana). But as soon as I find a 5L ES chest with 500+ ES I'll give it a try :)

If I like what I see & if heaven smiles upon me with some nice RNG, then I'll report back to you and tell you my experience.

So I'm getting close to the point where I can get the 1% Fire Leech, now I'm curious if someone has done some testing with it. Is 1% leech plus the aegis enough to keep me alive?

@HeavensRejected: With enough block and armour, it is indeed enough due to the insane amount of casts per second. If you can, get 1% Fire Leech on Lazhwar and your weapon too, but it's not necessary for high level mapping, just a decent bonus on top.

@nitro1914: I gave up on the Zealots Oath idea, it was just too inefficient. Maxing block and Iron Reflexes just allows for way more survivability and DPS.

Here's what i would do as a scion:

As you can see you'll end up with less block/DPS, but it's doable.

PS: Vaal Pact is really bad with Incinerate. You leech 1-3% of an already very small hit, further reducing that to 40% of this amount will leave you with almost nothing.

am i better off using my witch then at level 79 or the scion at level 85 going for max block as i intend to want to just have one guy that can handle the whole game in higher levels solo if have to. 78 maps or better.

Better use your witch, she got better starting nodes imo.

I made a bm flame totem mara at start of this new league to get the currencys flowing, and now im thinking of theorycrafting a pure armor tank incinerator mara with herald of ice as probably the only aura (-60 tree and reduced mana gem) should be little loss of life for decent dps boost lgoh gem and almost as much life regen as a rightous fire. Any suggestions, idea's or warnings ?

I'd say, why only half the fun? If you go life with lots of regen, use RotP and run RF on top for a huge boost on Incinerate. Probably drop a bit armour, around 10k is enough for most cases.
