Mace/Shield LS Templar with Video and writeup(Written for New Players)

Will this build be viable later on, im currently lvl 25 with iron grip...

Can anyone suggenst which combination of auras would be best, i plan to use LS as a short range spam skill, would lightning warp be a good skill to choose to avoid gettng too much into melee... If you have some suggestions on the skill tree i will be happy to listen :).
Also which uniques should I chase to get later on?

Next to the "I have no fucking idea what i'm doing." as well...maybe i'll read more before I do anything. Note to self...the linking gem slots are good with support gems hurrr.

Is the build ok? I was wondering if I could get rid of those lightning damage increases passives and go the other way for the mana and ele damage increase.

Your build is okay, except for the wasted intelligence node, unless you are going for some of the reduced mana, which is sort of waste. What is your level 50/60/70/80 build plans?

Somewhat similar to the build posted in the OP.

Basically life/armor/shield and mace nodes along with resolute. I have been tempted to go 2h instead and basically cut out the whole shield but that would be different...and probably yield less survival

You may find that you can't get as much health or should take less mace damage nodes since you took the lightning ones. However if you are going for RT and a lot of defense then I don't see any of it being a problem. I wouldn't worry about gear, I think the build is solid enough that as long as you are at least experimenting a bit and using your slots properly you'll survive. I'm only level 20 with it right now but I haven't had too many scary scenarios as of yet.

I used the 30 pt build than started my own build after that. Im.level 45 but i wanted to know if at my level im good for now.

I have 1.1k life, 1.1k dmg with LS ,1700 def and 70+% res other than chaos

Hey it`s me again!

I progressed pretty good so far. I got some nice drops that helped me going further. Reached merciless A1 now with level 60. dmg is good, 1300 1hand with shield and 1900 with 2hand.

however, I need here and then better resists to survive. 2300 armor currently.

my main problem currently is that I am lacking mana. I want to use wrath and clarity (stopped leveling clarity at level 11).

I got a new mace with IAS 22% which is burning my mana down even if i use only clarity without wrath.

any tips? I am following the OPs build but I got already some additional +max mana % nodes.

Just my thoughts on this build:

It's my first character, altho I changed build a bit. Focused bit more on block chance, armour (not ES) + ofc mace dmg, life, res... Also I took blood magic and never bothered with mana regen passives.

Atm lv 48, act 3 cruel.

~3.5k armor, 1k hp, 80% all res, 1.5k dps with LS (coz I have great weapon... lv 44 97-197 dmg + ele dmg and 20% + IAS).

And... offens eis just great. Everything dies really fast. Defence is well... from armor i got 60% reduction which imo is OK. 80% all res... and still I'm taking a lot of dmg. Prollz I need focus on block more )onlz 35% chance more, can have 50% in next few lvs and life.



Fun build, not boring coz its easy to die + fast leveling after lv 40 (blood magic + some life leech + LS with LMP makes miracles).
