Byrr's Eldritch Battery Ethreal Knife Shadow

I'm just curious if you using EK + Life leech and you do insane dmg, how the system work when you face against reflect? Is it possible to kill yourself in one shoot?

Dave (Byrr) died to physical reflect mobs. Like insta-killed himself.

Was he using fork or chain, when he one shotted himself? Seems strange one shooting himself without chain or fork. Because each projectile only hits 1 target.

I seem to have huge mana problems with this so far, any way to counter this?

Someone should try to get him to post his gear before he quits. He said he was gonna play darkfall but I'm curious about the gem setup he had as he died.

so heres the gear i was using when i died



Id adjust the build to have more armor by going Iron Reflexes now if i did it again, or I would look at a different way to deliver EK(totem, remote mine, trap, etc). EK on its own is a unique physical damage type in that it scales from the gem level like a spell but you cant get 75% resistance to the damage type your doing like you would every other spell. This makes reflect mobs basically suicide later on, even in a 20% map.

If I did this build again(which I have an itching to do, I hate to leave off knowing I can do better), I would probably try the very very high armor route and hope that would mitigate reflected damage a bit better.




The idea of blood magicing the auras was wrong, its better to use 1 higher end piece of ES gear to get the extra mana then with the regen from your high mana pool and clarity you can run all 5 auras and cast EKs. Preferably these would be boots or gloves.
