Byrr's Eldritch Battery Ethreal Knife Shadow

It does benefit from physical dmg bonuses. Percentage based that is (and NOT on weapons, where it only influences the weapon dmg directly, other than %based physical dmg bonuses on any other part of gear).

Like any other spell, only those bonuses increase the dmg, while flat dmg only adds to attacks (with the exception being support gems like added lightning dmg), never to spells. (See auras for example, Wrath and Anger - both flat dmg increases - do nothing for spells, they only work for attacks.)
You have to pay attention to the wording though. If it says %increase to physical weapon damage it doesn't apply to EK. However, a general physical damage bonus like Cruel Oak reward or from uniques like The Magnate applies to EK.

I've been using this build but I have been running into mana problems when using EK+Fork. What level should EK be leveled to? I believe my EK is at lvl 6 right now.

That's true and .. kinda obvious. Why is it so hard for people to understand that casters do not use weapons to attack? That alone explains everything.

Yep, EK is not exactly easy on the mana. That's normal, have those flasks ready until EB starts kicking in fully.

You want to level it up always. Spells gain most of their power by gem lvl (EK especially, hence the nerf talking lately)
Hey guys, im using this build but i seem to have extreme damage issues...

Currently level 30 in act3 and i have 70dps on my freezing pulse (+LMP) spell.

Any tips? I have 900+ life now so i think that is ok. I only run the mana regen aura atm.

Thanks!

70 dps with LMP is not all that fancy but it's not that bad either given your level. Don't get too excited about dps numbers. How does it feel? That's usually more important.

Also don't forget, that FP is just a placeholder until you can rock your EK. I used EK all the way but you might have your reasons not to.

Once you use EK plus the auras, you will notice a difference. EK hits pretty hard once the gem and support gems have a decent level.
Could you link your talent tree and show which way you went first.
And is the build good on SC?

Huh? He linked 3 steps of his progression in the opening post.

And of course this build is good for SC, why wouldn't it? It's not like it was a super low dps tank build just to stay alive. HC or SC, dying is basically a nono.

So yeah, this is very SC viable.
Could someone explain to me the point of getting Vaal Pact, in the passive skill tree for this build? Doesn't that disable healing from flasks and regeneration from Golems Blood?

Also the only way life leech/mana leech is applied to ethereal knives is through a support gem but I don't think Byrr recommends that?

There is no Vaal Pact in Byrr's build.
