Burned Miscreation - how do you increase it's damage

SO, the % trap dmg its for trap not for trigger and to plus the dmg of minions supported on trap.

Not sure what exactly you are asking. I'll try to explain how the belt interacts with trap support gem and minions.

Minion + Trap support = minion dmg is multiplied by the more dmg modifier on the gem. (but to trigger the trap you need alive monster nearby)

Minion + Trap support + Sunblast = minion dmg is multiplied by the more dmg modifier on the gem. (You do not need living enemies anymore, the belt forces the trap to trigger when its duration ends)

+ trap dmg% on Sunblast = +trap dmg% on passive tree and does nothing for minions. It will work for dmg you deal with traps (for example: trap+fireball)

Only reason people use sunblast for summoning is to make life easier.
Oks.

So... I have a lvl 17 minion damage gem. It gives my minions 74% increased dmg.
Concentrated Effect gem gives 64% more area damage.
Remote Mine, at lvl 16, gives 45% increased damage.
I don't have a Trap gem handy at present... but I'd say the numbers on that would also be lower than that of the minion damage gem (I've seen a lvl 5 gives 19% damage - doubt it's going to scale up too high from there)... so, my question is:

Is not, of all the things that folks have been talking about, the Minion Damage gem the better option of all of those? or does the "area" damage of Concentrated Effect mean more overall?

I tend to run with 3 burned miscreations - 2 with Increased Area of Effect, for crowd control, and one with Concentrated effect. That works quite well... but I'm also about to pick up a Tabula which will give me an additional gem slot to play with, and trying to get right in my mind what I should be putting in that slot...

My mind is telling me the Minion Damage gem... but as the OP said, there are so many conflicting stories out there with guides, etc. that it's kinda hard to judge (especially given the lack of data available to us on minion stats) - although, the info in this thread from GGG has been extremely valuable, goes a long way to helping clarify this for us, and is very much appreciated :)
Concentrated effect, mine and trap are MORE dmg, while Minion dmg gem is increased dmg.
Wiki about increased vs more.
Ahhhh, I see. Very fine (but VERY important) distinction. TYVM for the link - makes a lot more sense now, thank you :)

Edit: Glad I've been levelling up my Remote Mine in my secondary gear slots lol

Its clrarified about trap + sunblast non effect for spectres and zombies.

Little off topic but love confirm from ggg please!

Does IIQ GEM and IIR GEM work on the aura of BM yet? or will it ever work? Makes a big difference for summoners :)

If you get the Necro ageis passive node and use a spell damage shield will the damage of the aura get boosted?

Also does equpiment such as a chest giving you radius damage/ increased AOE work on the aura of the BM once they are summoned? For example a 6 linked Carcass Jack

Same for the passive AOE nodes? Im assuming all this stuff is strictly to boost the character so im guessing they dont work

I dont know about rarity gem affecting mobs killed by auras, havent found that answered 100% yet.

Radius passives only affect you, not minions. So no to that question. The only passives that effect minions are specifically for minions (minion life/dmg passives ect).

Same with gear you wear, only effects skills you cast, not minions.

Cool thanks for answers. I have got answers for everything I wanted except the IIR gem working for sure 100% with them. I have some people say it was fixed. Would love a GGG answer or someone with a quote from the from another post confirming it :)!
So is minion damage gem better or increased burning damage better? in terms of overall dps...
