Why is soul Taker so outrageously expensive??

I have 28,000 pDPS standing in town using only a 300dps 1h mace with 0 mana issues using Blood magic.


I paid 5ex for my mace... Lol

Out of my own lack of knowledge, but do you guys suppose Soul Taker would make dominating blow builds more viable? If it does, then there's one reason why it's valued so much.

ST is a classic example of the mentality players have nowadays - they think they need it because they don't know the game, they can't get it because it's freakin' expensive (for no good reason if you ask me), they go on the forum and complain about drop rates while vendoring great daggers just because they have "only" 220 dps, completely ignoring the fact that they have crit roll and therefore 8,x base crit. Oh well, what can you do, there'll always be newbs.

soul takers are ridiculous overpriced due the physical/melee being fotm

mana cost : 319 mana
attack time : 0.12 secs

i need Soul Taker

0.17atks per second
35k DPS in town unbuffed (62k with buffs)

using DoubleStrike and a 1h dagger, 2% leech is enough for me to not need mana.

I read this thread.

Then today I finally got my hands on a Soul Taker:
It just took my "blender"-like build to a whole other level than where it was previously.

As for how much damage whatever weapon/skill does while looking at the tooltip DPS... Well, I have played PoE enough to know that there are many more factors that count :)
