I would strongly recommend putting the dispel frozen and chilled on a potion that refills on crit so that it stays full and can be used more often. Putting it on 2 diamond flasks is less efficient than using one flask that can roll the refill a charge on crit mod.

If you watch the plateau video you will see that its possible to do an extra cold damage map and almost never be frozen. The secret to this build is doing enough damage that we freeze mobs first.

If you really hate to be frozen you can use an auxium or dream fragments.

That mirrored dagger is difficult to use with this build because its top end damage is so high. As I state in the guide a faster less heavy hiting dagger is better than that slower harder hitting dagger. Reflect is one of those reasons.

However, you should still be able to take on reflect even with that dagger. I will put up a more detailed post explaining what I think is happening as soon as I get home and am not typing on a mobile phone.

In short there are a few solutions. Which one you use depends on exactly what is happening.

1. Get more es to absorb the first hit. The end cry and immortal call on cwdt should save you after that point.

2. Get molten shell with cwdt as well to help absorb the damage and give you more armor.

3. Use a granite pot with 100% increased armor as well and use it before you launch into a reflect pack.

4. Get more leech. You may not be one shotting yourself but instead 5 shotting yourself with melee splash reflect reducing your es a little each time until you can't take the last hit.

5. Just use lightning strike as it does much less physical damage.

6. Wear more mf gear to nerf your top end damage. I would have so much in full dps gear that I would not be able to use of against reflect without instantly dying.

7. Are you in domination? If so then do you mean that you die to thorned shrines? They are much worse than reflect. Never flicker into a thorned shrine.

4. Isnt an issue, 10% leech is enough with CWDT+IC. And if you have Vaal Pact, as long as you dont oneshot yourself with reflect from single mob, you wont oneshot yourself from pack either. Each hit will be calculated independantly.

5. Added fire damage gem instead of melee physical/melee on full life will help as well against one-shot. Though, if map also has elemental reflect + reduced max res, or increased resist to appropriate element/EE, then it may become a problem.


IR + drinking both 100% armour granite and 100% evasion jade can help there too. Dont use Grace or eva gear, though.

And you also can use Added Accuracy and Power Charge on Critical gems instead of gems like Melee Physical Damage. They may provide a bit less DPS, but they dont increase manacost much, and (more important) they dont increase "peak" damage, allowing you to manage reflect MUCH more easily, even making it a joke.

Can I go low life without Shavronne's?


(Unfortunately, Carcass Jack is the highest ES armor I have with the right sockets. I've been trying to color a 5L Infernal Mantle, but after 500 Chromatic Orbs, I'm losing hope of ever getting RRRGB.)

You cannot go low life without Shavs. If you do and take chaos damage (we do from blood rage) it will go directly to your life and kill you quickly.

Oh right. Forgot about Blood Rage.

I have armor: 4200 without grace.

and no vaal pact yet

Are you running blood rage? 3% leech without blood rage (unless you are running tons of regen) and without vaal pact won't work for flicker since we always flicker right into the giant packs. We have to leech as much as we take.

You need 10+ leech (20q Blood Rage is 10) and vaal pact so that you can leech back to full instantly.

Im running level 17 blood rage no quality
so i get 3% from gear + 6% from blood rage
and my life regenerate is very low.
i will try to get vaal pact now.

Interested to see how well this build does at higher level difficulty maps, e.g. 77-78 with vulnerability + physical reflect + minus max res etc etc, any possibility of you uploading a video like this?
