Wealth without trading

When you only play self found, you bring the burden of being poor on yourself. Its a tough existence, but its easily dont if your not looking to face roll and have this so called 'wealth'

If your playing solo self found(sans a few docks runs for exp or something) then why do you care about wealth anyway. Your best you should be trying for solo self found godliness, which for the trade community means mid range crap.

Basically, if your going self found, dont expect wealth and godly gear. Your playing self found for the challenge, not the reward.

I paid 41.5 ex for a soultaker yesterday (domination.). 32.5 ex that I had and 9 ex that a good friend lent to me. I was able to farm the 32.5 ex by doing the longest most boring as fuck grinding sessions you can imagine. So, yeah, it is possible, but if that is the way that it is intended, then it is poor design. To get a little more detailed, I farmed roughly 150 chaos from the unidentified chaos recipe in ~8 hours yesterday.

Jesus Christ , how do you people do it , you sir deserve a medal .. or at least a smiley face sticker

That's only like 5 Ex. Where'd the other 27.5 come from?

It all depends on your league and your conversion rate. Generally, on standard, they go for about 20c for an ex, so thats about 7.

I would assume on nemesis its much, much more.

He specified Domination, where it's currently around 30:1 last I heard.

Other days of farming. It's not even 5ex. It's 36:1 currently. It took several weeks, I was just explaining how much per day and per hour.

As for how one forces oneself to do it, gambler fallacy. You go so many runs without a drop, you figured you are owed one. Dom run 137, no drop, gotta be just around the corner. -> Dom run 138. Repeat ad naseum.

I think thats the issue we have more often than not. People see others with epic godly gear and think that eventually they deserve getting gear similar to this. They think they are owed it.

They are in fact, owed nothing, but when they think this way, with how closed minded and stubborn people are in todays era, they are unlikely to be persuaded otherwise. They dont deserve godly gear, they arent owed it, but they think simply because other people have it, and they have invested enough time, they are owed. Being wrong is something this generation of gamer has an issue with.

Personally, I disagree completely. It's a video game, not a job. If you put in 300 hours grinding for gear, yeah, I feel you are owed that gear, because it's a game, and it's pixels, and one would assume (perhaps incorrectly) that the point is to have fun. One would also assume that after a certain amount of time farming, you would get a good drop, because these games function entirely as a skinner box. Without reward, people eventually break themselves from the box, and then they aren't going to buy microtransactions.
