1.3 [Newbie Friendly] GROUNDSLAMMER BUILD
I was thinking about using this build with an immortal flesh belt, but I can't tell if it would work well or not. I no longer need the mana leech from the wurms molt I've been using for a while, so I'm not sure if I should go this route or just go for a standard life/armor/phys damage belt. Here is the rest of my equipment:

" The life nodes in the dex area have really high values(one of them is 18%) , also allows us to get IR, and the dex is actually really useful once you get grace aura and faster attacks gem I also think that going to the scion life wheel is no longer worth it since the nerfs, this tree actually has more life compared to a GS mara tree that goes to the life wheel Last edited by renyzen#5876 on Mar 20, 2014, 10:51:04 AM

Would anyone mind giving me suggestions for gear upgrades? Here is what i have below. I feel like i may have pigeon holed myself with the + attributes stat in certain areas. do i need to start over again with other gems?
I managed to get this beauty for 3 chaos. The APS it higher and should help me level more. I have been feeling a little more squishy which means probably resists. I went into catacombs and the mobs at level 50 felt different than 48-49. |

Just resist, max life, high armor and high dps. Focus is resist and maximum life. You need to get survivability down first, group up, find some items by hanging on at the back of the party or if you're tanky enough, just take the damage at the front. Find 5L or 6L chest/weapon, with attack speed on the weapon. Gloves should have attack speed too to boost your dps and life leech. Use a life leech gem if you can't leech enough through gear, otherwise try using groundslam - faster attacks - multistrike - blood magic - melee physical damage. Try to get quality on gems also as this can help alot even just having 10% on heavy strike (costs around 10c but you'll have to check.) Here is my gear so you can get an idea. Flasks are also important with removing bleeding, chill, frozen or adding increased armor through Granite/Jade flasks.
Hope this helps: |

Is Marohi's the best way to go? I can see the reduced move speed and low attack speed as a major draw back however it seems that's what most people use. Any other options or opinions now that I'm finnaly close to obtaining it.

Well I bought Marohi for not that much 5L, and it has an extra gem skill - increased area of effect level 15 so for groundslam having just a 5L marohi basically gives you a 6L which boost your DPS and area effect by a lot. The damage is decent, so with Heavy Strike I can get 17k DPS listed. I use the other maul that I linked to have leap slam linked with faster attacks as a quick means of transport. There are better mauls I guess with better increased attack speed and that would be 6L but I'm not sure the cost. Marohi made my toon so much better though, I'm sure of this.

" Marohi = mostly for use 5L+, since it mitigates drawback of Concentrated Effect through inherent increased effect support. Cons - best Marohi has 420 pDPS, expensive, slow attack speed can occasionally get you killed. Rares = higher pDPS, cheaper. If you can get used to playing CE without Increased AoE support, you can get the best of both worlds... but that takes practice and learning to position yourself. Amplify node becomes essential. |

Thanks for the replies. I'll have to look into 5l ones and see what I can find. Really like to give one a try that's for sure.
Also thinking about saving the passive point for always landing hits and instead using kongor's since it never misses. Plus will add to resistances as well. Hmmmm. ...brings back fond D2 LoD memories... Last edited by ride1226#4761 on Mar 21, 2014, 6:12:08 PM
