In the OP section under Support Gems regarding the BM gem NinjaArabStrategist cautions that "it may be used instead of the BM keystone but brings terrible increase in mana(life) cost which is hard to maintain." Is this any different a caution then if you used the keystone? In fact isn't the keystone much worse to manage since it applies to everything--you have no mana, while the gem would only apply to the the weapon it supports while leaving the mana alone for other use?

Please clarify this "terrible increase". Thanks.

The BM gem increases the cost of the skill to 250%, whereas the keystone leaves it at 100%. So using gems means that the life depletion due to the use of this skill is 2.5 times faster.
Interesting... I think I might see that added increase in Life drop when using GS with BM support.

1. Just past the BM keystone is Mortal Conviction... What is the point of it if BM has zeroed-out Mana? Do mana reserves still appear/exist if needed for specific gems/nodes?

2. I'm going to start using Warlord's Mark instead of Enduring Cry... I've paid no attention to Endurance Charges so far. Don't know if I have them if they are happening automatically or what at this point?

3. Once I have RT there will be three routes of 7 nodes to the Life Ring I could take with questions. The lower route would pick up two DEX of the 7 nodes while the upper route is all STR or a variation that picks up 2 INT. Here is the current tree:
Spoiler
But I think there are several closer in areas to focus on getting and this Life Ring will never happen. Should I pick them up (like Bloodless and its Life nodes?) working the upper and lower areas after BM though?

Hello

So i'm new to the game and was thinking of following this guide but im concerned it wont be good enough for end game if i decide to keep on trucking with this build is this build outdated for later game or is it perfectly fine for a beginner to still use and still feel like they can accomplish things without being a pain?

The OP did a quick update on March 6th, when v 1.1.0 came out. I'm following the build and advice so far and it works much better then the mediocre success I had with a couple other characters.

I suggest going a number of pages back from the end of this thread to March 6 posts and reading what the OP and others have to say about 'End Game' and this build.

Cableguy101,

Yeah this build is fine for end-game, I'm not sure I follow this skill tree exactly (I get unwavering stance, iron reflexes, iron grip, health nodes and 2handed melee damage nodes) I would link it but I'm not sure how to. I follow the same skill gems as certain posts will tell you, if you look at the previous page you can see my gear that I've posted and then see the relevant gems. Cast when damage taken helps you out if you have 2 of them (1 on a level 1, and the other level 10ish) and yes I am level 89 (85% until level 90) so End-Game is fine for me. I have not died in a few levels. I have 5300 life, 13k armor, max resists and I hit for 17k DPS with Heavy Strike. It is a solid build, groundslam stunning mobs at 50% increased duration (with Marohi.) If you check my gear, have a look and see whether you can get the gear yourself to progress with the build. Most things I have are self-found, except for the Marohi of course. Hope this helps...
@confuzius: Just click on your char-window in the upper left. Then chose the char who's tree you want to link. Then there is a window that says "Passive skill tree" (underneath Microtransactions). There you'll find ur build.

@Cableguy: Yeah, this build is endgame-viable. BUT it relies heavily on good gear at some point. You will go full melee, if you take the blood-magic node without any auras. That's hard. You will be were the action is. Therefor you will need life, life-reg, resists and so on. But it is reachable, without spending tons of exalts ... (of course tons of exalts give better results sometimes ;))
The Sirus fight is a disgrace.

I made a more point efficient tree that has quite a bit more HP and also has alot more INT and DEX, It also has EE which bumps our max res to 79%, only downside to it is that it doesnt utilize berserking(you can remove the aoe nodes on the templar area along with the diamond flesh node near the duelist area and use the points to get berserking).

Good tree.

Edit - Berserking is garbage in general, but especially with this tree. It would cost you 6 points, when you can spend 5 and get Wrecking Ball

It looks like you spend 8 points of DEX just to reach the Wrecking Ball ring. Is all that DEX worth it if your melee champ is STR red gem oriented? Berserking puts you in reach of more Life and Strength and Path of the Warrior, etc... But I would like Iron Reflexes too. :) I want it all!

Next point goes to RT finally. Then I'm suppose to head toward BM but I still remain skeptical of that direction since I have a BM gem I'm still using effectively (I think)--else BM may not really be necessary at all and I note that the above tree avoids it. If I don't use a BM though then I really should pick up more Mana and Mana Regeneration.

I must stay out of mobs with bosses--why do I get so reckless with them? Have died or almost died a couple times in two Corrupted areas.
