1.3 [Newbie Friendly] GROUNDSLAMMER BUILD

Each time you level up you gain life,mana and evasion.
Each character gets the same.
I think 6 life,4 mana and 5 evasion ?
You also gain evasion from dexterity.So IR doesn't seem like
a good boost but it is.

Would you recommend going for Resolute Technique or Blood Magic first?

Have you experimented with not using Resolute Technique to see a difference in DPS? I figured with a two handed build high crits would be wanted!?

Was thinking about not using resolute and going for Mace Critical Multiplier and Atk Speed, for a little less tank higher dmg build!? Also wouldn't more/ higher crits help with life leech?

How to resolve the problem of need dex to level up grace?

And the node Leather and Steel is not better than Aurmory Master and Steel Skin?

Because with IR, Leather and Steel will gain 48% aditional Armour.

@LuisMatias: I bought unique amu Carnage Heart Onyx amulet for 1 ex i have +53 to all stats, perfect amu can have +60, and i have 1 ring with +25 dex or something like that. You can also buy other unique amu Astramentis Onyx Amulet perfect have +120 to all stats.

Leather and Steel give you only 24%. You can not add 24% inc ER to 24% inc armor.

hello i'm using this build for a moment now lvl 42 i just came in cruel act 2 and start feeling very weak. Is it normal ? is there a good farming spot in act1 ?
im really dying too much so, here is my tree

Hi,
I'll try to help you with my poor knowledge.

- First of all, in order to stop dying, I suggest you significantly raise your resistances. From your gear you have L +60%, C +34% and F +12%, what imo is not enough, and you didn't pick any of the elem resists node of the marauder tree. Remember that in cruel difficulty all the resistances have a -20% penalty.
Once your resistances maxed out you also should consider picking up Elemental Adaptation

- You should take all the life nodes you can, you missed 2 +12% nodes on your way to Blood Magic. Picking Blood drinker for the life leech could also be a good idea even if it's damage dependent...see my next point

- You definitely should use another weapon. For cruel act 2 the damages of your maul are way too low. I strongly recommand you find a 2H mace with + melee physical damage, ideally buy Geoffry's Baptism, it costs around 3 chaos in HC, it should be less in SC and it is definitely worth it (just check the trade channel, there's at least one every 15 minutes)

Hello, I'm using this build, after a bad experience with a CI Shadow (like Invalesco build). I think that it's a great build, but the passive skill tree can be improved with a better path.
This is the skill tree that I will get at lv. 74 (now I will at lv. 69):

If you see, I don't have Blood Magic. This is the most influent difference with my build and this build. I use some Blood Magic Gem instead Blood Magic Passive. But I can use auras!
When I will at lv. 74, I will get 2X Reduced Mana Reservation. Using Reduce Mana Gem (at lv. 17) I will have 26% (74% cost) of mana less.
Now, with 2X Reduced Mana Reservation, I will have another 10% of reduced mana for auras.
In this way, I will have 4 auras on the mana: Hatred, Vitality, Determination, Haste.
Listen:
Hatred: 30% base reservation -> with 2X Mana Reservation Passive = 27% -> with Reduced Mana Gem = 19,98%
Vitality: 40% base reservation -> with 2X Mana Reservation Passive = 36% -> with Reduced Mana Gem = 26,64%
Determination: 40% base reservation -> with 2X Mana Reservation Passive = 36% -> with Reduced Mana Gem = 26,64%
Haste: 40% base reservation -> with 2X Mana Reservation Passive = 36% -> with Reduced Mana Gem = 26,64%
Total Reservation = 99,9%
And then, using blood magic and reduced mana gem, I use Grace and Anger with Life. Grace give me about +1500 armor, and Anger is a good choice to have some elemental damage.

I know that this build is a bit more difficult, but at this level (74) I suppose that you will have a good equipment (to link lot of gems)
