it actually INCREASE DPS not lower

here is my 5L marohi

4L dps without multistrike is 3600ish (melee physical, added fire, faster)
5L dps with multistrike is 5200ish

I'll say "learn armor mechanics".
Also, you are comparing 4L to 5L. I can compare 1-level Freezing Pulse with 20-level Fireball and claim that Fireball is always better.

Hi, I have the opportunity to purchase and replace Marohi Erqi for my mace, but I have the doubt if it will be worse mace to be much slower than mine.

Thank you very much! It looks very helpful. Even if I wanted to be unique and use my own build, I am not too good at it and there's simply too much. This one looks great, and by using it on my main I could be learning to use it fast in leagues too, because I understand it's very good there, to "rush".

Sorry for double post, but a skill can be supported from gems even if they aren't linked next to them? So let's say Faster Attacks is 1, Decoy Totem 2 and Ground Slam 3, if I have 1>2>3 the Ground Slam will still be supported by Faster Attacks?

as long as all 3 sockets are linked then yes, the support gem doesn't need to be next to a gem to support it, just linked to it, even if through another socket in between, as long as the "chain" of links goes between both.


Also, been using this build for my melee character, very nice build, using multistrike with groundslam too, does very nice damage and with life on hit keeps my life up very nice, looking to get some decent life leech on gear to switch out my life leech on heavy strike now to replace it with added fire damage.

Going to switch multistrike off groundslam for faster attacks later to see how it goes, I quite like how multistrike switches targets and hits very fast, but if faster attacks seems as effective as keeping my life up and kills quicker I may go with this till I find a 5l to use

Just as a point to people reading this wondering how good this build is with gear, all my gear is self found/ crafted (by this char and my ranger) and I have nothing higher than a 4l at the minute in act 2 merciless and merveil in act 1 merci died nice and easily, good fun build.

I'm trying to take the suggestion to get a 4L mace and 6L armor, but the prices for these seem insane.

Any ideas what a 4L Mahori should cost, and a cheap 6L chest, something like my current 4L?

Thank u very much NAS for this excellent guide. I'm a total newbie to poe and currently lvling a HC marauder following your advices. More than just giving really good help your guide is allowing people like me, with not so much time to play, to apprehend the elaborated game mechanics of path of exile. I feel like I'm spending more efficient time on forums/wiki as I had a real good introduction to the game.
It would be great to have a guide like this one for every class... NAS ? ;)

Don't the 6 dex nodes taken to get to Iron Reflexes handle this? If you want to max it (I don't think NAS is suggesting this, maybe I'm wrong though), you'll hit another dex node on the way to Inner Force, and a decent onyx amulet or Carnage Heart should make it easy.
