1.3 [Newbie Friendly] GROUNDSLAMMER BUILD

Been using this build since I first found it and am currently in act2 at the forest outpost. I have a question about the bandit quest. Only info I see is what to take when you save Oak. What do we do with the other guys? Do we kill them? I saw they can give some decent buffs also if help them but don't know what "helping them" involves. Of course if Kraityn wants me to kill Oak that wouldn't be good, but don't know of anyway to find out other than talking to him and prefer to know ahead of time so I can plan ahead.

I haven't had a lot of luck with gear drops so far and have only found 1 support gem and that is from quest, life gain on hit which I use on groundslam in my awesome 3 link item. I still seem to do ok even with crappy gear if I am careful, so I have been doing a bit of farming to try for gear, orbs or gems. Thanks again for the helpful build and the last update showing what to take from one keystone to the next. It is quite overwhelming to look at the passives and have no idea what to do with it.

Regarding the bandit quest you can only help one of them. If you want to help Oak, as wisely suggested, you will need to kill the 2 others and bring him back their amulets in order to actually "help" him.
I love the idea of using Spell Totem + Summon Skels instead of Decoy Totem, it is a more fun way to play. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be leveling the Skels but they are lev 9 now and are pretty useful in 66 maps.

Just wondering, what is a good support gem for them? I'm thinking Faster Casting or Minion Life, but I'm not quite sure. I'm leaning towards faster casting as I'd be able to get a totem up faster, and the skels would replace faster, but maybe there is a cooler support I haven't even thought of.

Thanks!
First of all, level 9 is kinda... very weak. Especially on maps (even lowest ones). If you are able to maintain Intelligence for 15+ level you defenetly should level 'em.

About supports... Well, what do you really need?
Casting time is about 1.3 sec as far as I remember, kinda high. But you are casting it once a 30 sec. Is 0.3sec worth it, especially you don't cast it in dangerous situations, but before fight.

Life of Skeletons is already kinda low. The will die super-fast even with Minion Life, so why even bother with it? Of course it will help. But imho it does not worth the effort. The power of this combination is in ressumoning speed.

Let me "overtake" your next question. Minion Instability does not worth it. It does minor (neglibigle) damage but also lowers visibility (which is important for us)

They will most likely be replaced by newly spawned Skeletons before getting killed.. as Spell Totem spams them :l

so imo Minion Life in this setting is useless,
while Faster Casting is the best support gem for it.

As for SummonSkeleton gem leveling, you should get it to a level where it increases the number of maximum skeletons spawned :
Lv 1 - 4 skeletons
Lv 9 - 5 skeletons
Lv 16 - 6 skeletons
Are there known hitbox issues with ground slam or something? Even with Resolute Technique sometimes I will be spamming it and mobs directly in front of me will take no damage if they are in my face.

@NinjaArabStrategist: For mana cap is 12,5% of max mana pool, not 20%. 20% is life cap. Change that in first post.

/oos was removed and no-longer works
Loving this guide for my 1st char since closed beta. I do have a question though, you may have answered it, but I really don't want to sift through 170 pages to find it.

Why Iron reflexes? The only evasion you get is from Grace and it just doesn't seem worth it. You can't even level grace up due to dex. Wouldn't the Thick Skin (18% Hp) and the two 8% hp nodes to the north of iron reflexes be better use of points?
