How can you compare your build to Danmaku's build? I mean, did you play it, if yes up to what

level and can you explain why the witch is the best class to start with for your build?

Noob question : why not life based instead of ES?

Also, 2-3 ways to level from the start would be very apreciated and even more if you could tell us what level is best to really use that build with that gem setup. THank you.

I played Danmaku my friend's level 88 Ranger. Of course, I'm referring to the current Danmaku, not the Danmaku pre 1.0.5, where you could link 3 EKs. Those were the days.

It's easier to get way tankier with ES than HP. An example would be the offhand. As a CI player the shield will give me 2-3K ES total, whereas a HP player will not have access to such HP scaling endgame. Also, going CI gives me Immunity to Chaos Damage, so really CI>HP, at least for this build.

To all the players out there I would like to share with you my experience of this build:

The build is not intended in my opinion for starting players. it should be done as a second or third toon after some wealth have been accumulated. It is very gear dependent (such as every good build) and leveling is not easy due to the need to have vaal pact, ES, and a 6 socket chest in order to be able to do merciless act 3.

I have reached now, with not so expensive gear a stage where i can start enjoying the strengths of the build.
The sweet spot for me was getting 6 link (tabula rasa as i can not afford anything else) and having life leech gem applied. Grabbing vaal pact + life leech apply to ES and IR nodes. having gear with 1.5k es unbuffed. It happen to me at level 70 (although it could be done maybe 2-3 levels earlier) and i still have some difficulties with mana if i wanna run the 2 auras.

i had a duelist level up to 76 with self found gear much faster and could farm piety and up to lvl 69 maps. though this build, once you do get the idea of it, and due to putting much more effort and work to it, makes it much more rewarding and fun to play.


Wishinan, i have to tell you that the passives build and the play style combinations are really spot on. You did aced it as far as i can see. Hope i would be able to grab some more nice gear to allow me advance into mapping soon.

doing bad.

no armor/evasion means you get hit hard and die easily.
not enough ES means you cant keep up the hard hits and die easily.
not enough accuracy + crit chance, means you can't hit quick enough to generate quickly enough the little es you do have.

my conclusion, although this build is really strong and i can truly see the potential of it. it is intended only for the rich. it is not viable for leveling and grinding without the gear to carry it. you must use a 6 link top evasion and es armor in order to survive beginning maps.

Was asking myself why you dont lvl Cyclone itself, since the mana cost gets from 30 to 36 only. Does the multiplier just too much, or is it the extra atk speed?

Leveling up cyclone doesn't provide an appreciable dps increase, but it does raise the mana requirement significantly as it's a pretty large percentage when you consider perma cycloning. The quality is the main thing that's important as it provides a larger aoe radius.
