i m planning to take burning damage nodes when i level a little more.

the Aoe passives that i took directly affects my blast radius. i do not take specific fire damages because i wanted it to be versatile so i can use other skills with the same passive.

I was watching your level 67 dwarf run video and it seems like you're using Ice Spear, but I thought you took the node Ancestral Bond that allows one extra totem, but doesn't allow you to deal damage with your skills yourself. Is Ice Spear being used for just the slows and freezes?

As usual, this question has been asked countless of times.

The Ice Spears is to build up Power Charges. Not to do damage or freeze.

It doesn't matter whether there is damage or not. As long as there is a critical hit, u gain a power charge.
