Barrage Wonder Wanderer – how to DEMOLISH maps (1.3.X)
" The belt has about 70 resists and 350 armor with is about 3% physical reduction. 30% on one spell is equal to 15% spell damage. Im not using vaal pact any more, as its not worth it without a LL gem. But Vaal Pact making 40% of LL instant, doesnt mean the other 60% are removed. They still work like before... But yes, i get your point. Life and eventually more resists vs 15% spell damage and 350 armor and 1% lifeleech. If you got problems staying alive, the lifeleech wont save you. P.S.: How much life do you guys have and what league are you playing in ? Last edited by gexstar on Sep 14, 2014, 12:59:35 PM

I got a question about crafting a Wand i just bought.
I have two options here. Either i go attack speed or i go Crit Chance for Spells. Or more general. I got another Wand with 10.96 crit. With the 2nd one im at 93.7 crit, with the first one im at 88.7. Given that i can still go AS or Spellcrit on number one, which one would be better ? Last edited by gexstar on Sep 16, 2014, 4:54:29 AM

" Attack speed is far superior, especially as a craft, spell crit chance is very meh. For AS on wands the max roll is 13% and you can craft on 12% which makes it one of the best crafts in the game. " The first one with AS is going to give you more crits/s as well as crit multi which is fantastic, and is only 1% less spell damage. Definitely better. With the AS craft, it requires lvl 6 Tora and 1C, so probably worth re-rolling it until you get the at least 11% (7-12 is range). Pay someone to do it for you if you don't have lvl 8 yet, shouldn't cost much.
" Thank you very much, sir! I will do that. :)
I've leveled my CoC Shadow to 84 (will be 85 today), so it's time to share my opinions and findings.
Tabula Rasa & 6L armour
Regarding the 6L armour. as AgentKay said, any 6L other than Tabula Rasa is pretty expensive, and beyond reach of some players. AgentKay said Voll's Protector or Lightning Coil would be best option. I've come up with an idea of an armour halfway between Tabula Rasa and 6L Lightning Coil. It's called +1 to level of gems Tabula Rasa :) The benefit of +1 to level is huge on your damage, as both spells will give you somewhere around 3-4k DPS more. Granted it doesn't give you any defence, BUT it's relatively cheap (3-6 exalts). Also, I've discovered that a Belly of the Beast armour might be quite good regarding survivability. It gives me aroud 600 life, which is massive. Plus, it has some AR/EV on it. I've tried to 6L one, but stumbled on 5L in the process and sold it for profit :)
Power Charge source and clearspeed
I've replaced Life Leech with PCoC on my main attack, because I felt that using separate attack just for Power Charges lowers my clearspeed significantly. Only downside to that was inability to run reflect maps. Reflect mobs I dealt with pretty much without effort, using 1% LL on wand and flasks. Died only once, to a strongbox reflect pack. Then, I've discovered a different way. Using self-cast Assassin's Mark, I could keep charges up just by cursing a pack. It's faster than critting with a Barrage+PCoC. But still, without quality on gem, you can loose charges from time to time. To work around that, I used Doedre's Elixir unique flask. It gives you 1 Power Charge and 1 Frenzy Charge on use, dealing 10% life as chaos damage. So, when I was running between packs, I could use that flask to get 10 more seconds on my charges. The damage was not that bad, and additional Frenzy Charge increases Attack Speed as well. As last step, I've taken the +18% Power Charge Duration passive. Those two seconds it gives are really nice in terms of clear speed and makes Doedre's Elixir even more important between packs. For example, I can sustain charges when waiting for Piety to begin fight! 24 between packs is insane! Right now, I'm back to Barrage+PCoC+Curse, but still unsure what I'll leave as final.
Curse on Hit
A propos curses, I've been having a rough time with Curse on Hit gem. What it does is curse ONLY ONE enemy (one that gets the hit). That's just inefficient. I know that It curses immediately with Projectile Weakness, giving big Pierce Chance, so next Barrage shot goes to next enemy, but that way it can hit max 4 targets, if they're standing in line. So, I've switched Curse on Hit with a spare Cast on Crit. Gives me 62% chance to curse on crit, so not bad. Also, curses ALL enemies in an area. So, after this change, I have Barrage+PCoC+CoC+Curse. PCoC has 64% chance to give charge, CoC has 62% chance to curse. Roughly the same, meaning when I see the curse being casted, I can pretty sure expect to get the charge as well. No need to check :)
Curse of Choice?
I was wondering about Projectile Weakness vs. Assassin's Mark. Which one is better? Projectile Weakness gives you Pierce chance, but I'm not sure I need it. Even without it, everything dies instantly, and on bosses I don't have mobs to pierce :). Knockback is useless if you freeze enemies (Arctic Breath does that pretty good). Increased Projectile Damage is quite nice, but not that much. Assassin's Mark gives 40% more damage from critical strikes and 10% additional crit chance. That's HUGE. Also, gives you life and mana on kill. Mana on kill can keep you up even in no regen maps (tried!). And, finally, gives you chance to get Power Charges on Kill! That means when you finish off a white pack, you get Power Charges to run to next one :) Still not sure which one I'll use in the end, I'm leaning towards Assassin's Mark.
Spells of choice
I use Ice Spear and Fireball. Why Ice Spear instead of Arctic Breath? Because damage is only slightly less, and IS doesn't leave so much clutter on screen. Also, IS has lower impact on performance than AS, which means a lot when running in groups. On maps with +75% resistance to element i replace said element with something different. I keep Arctic Breath and Arc in off-hand to level up and switch when needed.
My gear
Tabula Rasa was 30c. Maligaro's and Rat's Nest 10-20c each. All the rare items I use were 5 chaos or less. Offhand:

Endgame
I've been running a lot of maps recently, mostly 74-76 and couple 77. I believe this build can take you through everything. Granted, some bosses can give you a hard time since your so squishy, but the damage can kill everything. Most maps I do with a party, with no one complaining about framedrops. I've even partied with a second CoC char, no problem :) Almost all mods on maps are viable. No regen (get a slow mana flask and disable Clarity), elemental reflect (no problem). I haven't tried Blood Magic, but it shouldn't be a problem, you'll be just extra squishy without Grace. I haven't tried Atziri and I think it'll be really hard with this build. Edit: This turned into quite a wall of text. Sorry for that. Might help new players get into the build easier. IGN: LeszczuTheSlayer Last edited by Leszczu on Sep 18, 2014, 12:11:10 PM

Hello guys.
Currently lvl 51 Barrage/CoC/EK, I decided to theorycraft a little and I came across a few problems. Didn't have the time to read the whole thread (126 pages...), so I'm sorry if something was already concluded there. My planned complete build: /edit: forgot about mind drinker

1. I have no experience with chain support. I've read that a projectile can either pierce or fork or chain on one target without the other effect(s) triggering, but it can for example pierce and then chain on the secondary target. a.) Is that true? b.) Can that pierced (monster A->monster B) projectile chain to the first target (B->A) and then chain back to the second target (A->B again)? c.) Can a projectile pierce after it chained once? and after twice? d.) So is taking the piercing shots passive cluster (just above acro) inefficient? 2. a.) Let's say that I'd really want to have more single target dps for bosses and leftover/tanky rares. Is it good for me to go for Fussilade & Tempest Blast and use phys dmg wand (base crit % > phys dmg > proj speed/spell dmg/as) OR should I simply focus more on attack speed (for example 3x 5% and 3x 3%/accuracy) and spell dmg? b.) Since AS is not possible to be crafted into this wand, should I go for some spell dmg or further increase its phys dmg? c.) So does having a 4L Power Siphon make any sense for this build? 3. Rather noobish question; do increased global/spell crit chance and multi (from items and passives) affect CoC'ed EK? 4. I'm so undecided on the last support in a 6L setup. Is it best to switch it depending on the situation, or is there some ultimate combination? Barrage - CoC - EK - Chain - PCoC - ??? a.) Inc crit dmg. b.) Faster projectiles. Dunno, more aoe for open area maps? Otherwise an overkill since there's proj speed from Sniper, Ballistic Mastery and wand? c.) Faster attacks. Simple yet effective or mana-fucker? d.) Added fire dmg. e.) Life leech. Can it save me from reflect even without VP? I mean... Practically, not on paper :D 5. Lastly, any awesome ideas about the shield? Atziri's Mirror for curse reflection? Perandus for super high block chance? Daresso for phys dmg? Rathpith Globe? Pure eva with hp and resistances? Last edited by shalq on Sep 21, 2014, 2:34:25 AM

Hey guys!
I'm pretty new to this build and currently leveling up with Freezing Pulse until i hit 60ish. But I have a question regarding the aura choices. OP says that i'll gain a lot of armour thanks to Iron Reflexes when using grace, but on the suggested Passive Skill Tree, the key stone isn't taken? Am i too stupid to understand or is this build using Eva now? Thanks a lot!
" Sorry but we're concentrated on elemental way. Can't help you much. " Yes. Only local crit chance on wand doesn't. " In most cases Life Leech would be best option. If you're not affraid of reflect or have leech on gear then go with Inc Crit Damage or Faster Attacks. Personally, I'd try FA, as more attacks means more CoC procs. " There are two paths in this build: physical (with Iron Reflexes, spell is Ethereal Knives) and elemental (without IR, spells are Arctic Breath, Fireball etc.). Make sure you choose the correct tree. It does contain IR node. IGN: LeszczuTheSlayer Last edited by Leszczu on Sep 22, 2014, 6:00:16 AM
