I've thought about using ele prolif, but didn't really see the point when most things were dying within 2-3 pulses. Is it because of the freeze and shocks offered by it?

Freeze and Shockstacks are pretty nice in a full party, it just felt like using freezemine at some points. There was this pretty nasty pack of gmp chaos alchemist in a gmp map wich i permafroze until they where dead. I think the loss of ~2k dps is worth the utility prolif provides in partys, but i wouldnt consider swapping Added Chaos for Prolif when im solo.

Do you have a Lavianga's? That flask helps mitigate reflect well because of the recovery offered by it.

I use Lavianga's but the 2 times i almost died was from a single pulse crit! I think i hitted 2-3 shockstacked packs with a huge top end crit, but im not sure if i was on full Mana at that point.

Ah gl getting your void battery! Although I'd try not to neglect ur survivability as well :p

You should be able to get more HP upgrades on ur gear.

Yeah i thought about getting some other gear upgrades first instead of void battery, but with the league ending soon i want to try to push my damage as far as possible to feel what this build is capable of.
Maybe im gonna reroll this build in the next league :) i fell in love with it <3 <3 <3
I never played such a powerfull spellcaster with so nice defenses! Freeze Pulser was my first Char ever in this game and i sucked with my old Builds. But now everyone in Partys freaks out about my damage and the great utility i provide.

I have been looking at this build since you put it up. When I was in nemesis I was really skeptical of trying it because all you hear about is how bad acrobatics is in hardcore. After my death to a corrupting blood in A2M due to a moment of stupidity I decided to give it a go and familiarize myself with the game more for the next league. So I am in the process of collecting regrets.

I noticed you and Steifoss have very little evasion on your gear. So am I correct assuming once you hit a certain level and HP dodging, cloak of defiance, and arctic armor is enough?

Ah, be careful! That's one of the reasons I chose Phase Acrobatics - to help mitigate a lil bit of spell reflect. Also, with MoM - at least when u damage yourself heavily on reflect, you won't have enough mana (hopefully) to cast another pulse if ur not paying attention.

Heya!

Yup. Attacks aren't really a problem at all with AA, the 40% dodge chance and the 24-30% block chance. Of course, any bonus evasion you get will help alot. However, even with my puny amount of evasion (23% against melee attacks and 46% against projectiles) I don't have a problem dealing with devourers.

The main danger is from spell damage (ironic, considering the what the meta is like atm in terms of player builds), both from the monsters (especially the physical spells) as well as from elemental reflect, and evasion is useless on both counts.

The best defence is still to stack up on a damage buffer, and that's where having a high HP and a high unreserved mana comes in useful.

That's an insane build you created right there. I'm really surprised that EB + Acrobatics can actually work well together.

Now I would like to know if reflect maps or -max res aren't too dangerous (one of them only, both is an obvious no-go).

-max res maps will be just as dangerous for this build as any other. Maybe slightly so because of phase acro.

Ele reflect is alright if you deal with it carefully and ensure ur mana pool isn't empty. There's an ele reflect map video under gameplay videos if ur interested!

I think I've watched that video already, but since you were playing carefully, I couldn't really figure out what would happen with a more "rambo" style. Or at least, how much time it would take for that to happen.

Still thinking about my own build for a FP character, nothing really easy to come up with.

I would never play "rambo" style in ele reflect maps :p If you really want to though, Just remove your level-ed Freezing Pulse, replace it with a level 1 freezing pulse, remove added lightning damage, support it with a leveled added chaos damage and incr. crit damage and spam all you want on ele reflect maps.

Will try this build in about 5 months.

I actually did it for real haha!

Here's the ss for a L1 freezing pulse 6L-ed with added chaos and incr. crit damage.

Here's one linked with added chaos and added lightning instead of incr. crit damage.
This dealt way more damage than the above with a higher tooltip dps and higher actual damage output due to shock stacks. Ele reflect was also not a problem.
Mana cost was only 24 per cast.

Would an Added Cold (Q20) plus the Shadow +5% Freeze Chance passive be useful for godly freezing CC..? Possibly Added Cold (Q20) + Prolif?
